If you only hear bombompow with the gun shot.....there must be something wrong with your config/setting
what i hear are solid gun shots, the pace of the bullet rip through doors and car's door.....the sound of the bullet hitting metal....not bombompow....

ah beng is ah beng mah bombompow only..

got my used copy today.. maybe watching it this afternoon... 1st day puasa so not going anywhere.. huhu

I have seen all the digital 3D movies on our big screens, and watch all the digital 2D movies too. Though the digital 2D versions of Angels & Demons and Terminator: Salvation is not as good as our home based 1080p movies, they are much much better than the 35mm versions.

Avatar games (PC, PS3, Xbox360, Wii, PS2, NDi) is supposedly playable in 3D too, the 1st of its kind, but its only playable on TVs thats support 3D (whatever that means, but i think it will rule out CRTs). Tho no mention of the platform(s) that will support the game in 3D, i am betting on PC, PS3 and Xbox360.

Cant wait for the digital 3D technology to come home.... but read somewhere that the current flat panels cant display digital 3D....

LG has one 3D capable LCD out somewhere..... but with no good 3D source and cost likely to be unreachable for me.... i'll wait....

Without any fanfare or even a passing mention in its official announcement, the upcoming slim PS3 is getting an additional feature, one long requested by those who use the console as a Blu-ray player: it will be capable of bitstreaming DTS-HD and Dolby TrueHD to a compatible receiver for it to decode those advanced audio signals.

This has been revealed by Engadget, quoting a story posted on Japanese electronics site AV Watch.

The regular PS3 can't bitstream advanced audio codecs because its HDMI transmitter chip doesn't support it. Therefore, unlike the addition of DTS-HD decoding or BD-Live support, a new firmware cannot add advanced audio bitstreaming to existing consoles.

It has been long argued that there is no difference between decoding an advanced audio signal on the player or on the receiver, provided they both follow the specification. However, many users insisted they wanted to decode in their receivers and were unhappy that the PS3 didn't offer them that option. Now, with the slim PS3, they can choose whether to decode in the console or in the receiver.
