1) the "Drum" scene track 3 at palace
this part really brings the midbass, & basslines to the very lows ( soree ya no 16-20hz sub to test biggrin.gif )
when zhang ziyi is gracefully dancing around matching the beads sequence, notice the tingling of bells in that tight midbass impulse
to the drawing of sword from andy Lau to the fight scene ended at the bath pool, not to mention crackling of bamboos at the prison...

2) prairie " track 8" & Bamboo forest " track 9" scene
fighting scene at the prairie, bows & arrows shooting, withdrawing and throwing of daggers, and also the incoming of dagger like "wooden sticks "
from no-where.
the falling of bamboo leaves from the quiet scene ( where zhang ziyi ) is resting
the bamboo rattling & crackling sound is superb, not to mention when the bamboo leaves sprung up, ( notice the height ) of the bamboo leaves
( these bamboos are some 20 - 30 feet)

my preference "this BD is superb for sound calibration, and its full of surprises from the quietest moments ( notice the whispers, breathing and other minute sounds to the pounding mids and bass) thumbup.gif
and yes... suprisingly its in 5.1 DD,
wonder how it sounds in the UK Region B ...DTS-HD MA BD

If your TV doesn't support 24p, the player will do the 3:2 pull-down process.

Celine Dion concert was not shot at 24fps. So it depends on the camera they use, not all HD digital camera can do 24 fps.

so basically its the encoded software, just like the 5.1,6.1& 7.1 format

as my bd's when i check the info on player its only 1080i/1080p/60 as the 24p always is not highlighted

if you flip the 100hz and 200hz like cartoon making

which is smoother, (ans 200hz) there is no breakage so less flicker(something like ghost image moving)
this usually happens when camera is panning left right or top bottom vice-versa biggrin.gif

for (3) interpolation.... well i might be wrong, but i always complain of this

on David's Foster and Mich Buble openning sequence the camera pans on the ceiling of the concert hall
its not even, you get a very funny feeling as tho like watching on a fish eye's view, tend to elongate (height wise) on the left and right sides of the LCD

if its not interpolation then this another area to be addressed by engineers:D

my dad's boss office HT room saw Micheal Jackson Thriller album AQ ok tho but not the PQ
then in SS2 the shop displaying Pioneer TV playing Olivia Newtons Dolphin song and Physical, wou the clarity AQ & PQ damn stunning
too bad couldnt even find it on DVD

my best experience on Hifi( college time) was in Atlas hi-fi in LG sungai wang plaza,
they there were exhibiting the Bose 901 with its matching equaliser ( the 901's were hung from ceiling down)
tell you thats, my best experience i recalled to date, playing Shefield Labs Thema Huston,
life performance ... hmm.gif hmm.gif nostalgia..... tongue.gif
