KK City Bus Route

http://maps.google.com/maps/ms?ie=UTF8&hl=...6,0.109863&z=14

- City Bus only travels within the CBD/City Center area. To get to other places, you would need to switch to other buses serving different routes

Looks good, but it is good if City Bus can get more buses inside the fleet.

KK city centre is so narrow, but traffic is growing, sooner or later, need to have proper public transport.

i guess no chance for BRT in KK since its so narrow biggrin.gif

metro town at kolombong. near puspakom.

currently we're discussing with tesco in opening a hypermarket there
*
u mean the one with many new row of shops beside puspakom or the old KMA building?
some insiders told me the KMA building is sold and a hypermarket would be build there with food court and futsal facilities
i wonder how true is it on the KMA building hmm.gif
please get Tesco to open there and kick Giant since Giant have too much branches at KK yawn.gif

That will provide much needed competition against Giant in KK.
BRT cannot, takes up road space.

Monorail possible, because it is lower cost than LRT, but elevated (metal structure instead of concrete)
*
if DBKK decided to change the roads in KK into one-way road based on their old proposal
would there be enough space to build monorail at the side of the road?
since the road dividers are removed for one-way road hmm.gif

Another thing is, i support the extension of Sabah railway, so that KK can have big commuting area.....in KL, you have people from Rawang/Seremban/Klang to travel to KL and work, why not KK?

KK commuting area can be Kota Belud, Kimanis, Papar via railway!
*
if only Sabah have DMU with a nice speed to travel from Kudat till Tenom
that would be lovely for sight seeing
is the new railway using narrow gauge?

Narrow gauge.

Sabah ada railway, Sabahans need to be proud of and improve it.

No need EMU, just need DMU.

DMU at 100 to 120 km/h enough to pawn road transport in west coast Sabah.

In some sections, i suggest double track or long passing loop.
*
i guess not many countries prefer the old railway with metre gauge nowadays?
