wakakaka...y so busy do water change, cause the fish need clean water?
i don't think that discus really need clean water if their tank have cycled for about 1 or 2 weeks before putting the fish.

As for me, i do water change once every 2 weeks or clean my filter once every month.
But i don't know how others did?

Yea, but my tank doesn't need as my water temperature is 29 degree almost everyday.
I think that might have some reasons, i just don't know which one.

Water change and tank cycling are two very different things.
Water changes: clean water for you fish.
Tank cycling: growing bacteria in your filter.
You don't do one and skip the other.

A powerful filter doens't solves everything.
Maybe that is why you are left with only 1 discus. Have you considered that?

Honestly, your tank is lightly loaded, which is good. You might get away with less water changes (or not).
But you fish doesn't look healthy at all. Size of eyes vs size of body, seems to be like stunted discus to me.

Yea, u're right.
If i have consider to keep discus at first place, i might already keep only discus without mixing with other fishes...
In addition, it's not that i don't want to change water regularly but my job tough where my working hours very long.
Hehehe...

Thanks for reminding me.

So far i oni mix my discus with neons. Sizes among the discus might oso cus bullying. Different species o adult discus may bully the smaller ones.
Water change i did it once a week.Filter cleaning 3 weeks once. Finally sometime observe the ammonia level.
