Working as Project Engineer (2.5 years) and am interested on taking the PMP in early 2019.....
Just have some questions and appreciate if someone could help answer:
1. If you are a PMP holder, last time did your company sponsor the course fee/ exam fee? Is it advisable to ask PMP sponsorship from company?
2. One of the requirement - 36 months experinces in Project Management. I will have 3 years of Project Management experience at that time (as junior + senior project engineer), is it OK?
3. Appreciate if anyone could pm me for the course fee & exam fee, and also if there is any other requirement to take note.
thanks

Hi Everyone,

There are many aspiring Project Managers who are looking to certify themselves with the esteemed PMP Certification by PMI. Although there are many Project Management Certification programs out there, the PMP Certification is still the most sought after program worldwide.

As many people are self funded and looking for more affordable ways towards the PMP Certification, Axsel PMP Program is now being offered only at RM2,850.00 and is HRDF Claimable.

This program is structured over 4 days and participants have the flexibility of choosing either weekday or weekend classes. The schedule is based on demand it is recommended that participants enroll in small groups to facilitate scheduling.

The program will include the following:-

> Original CADD Centre Courseware
> Certificate from CADD Centre
> Certificate of Attendance
> Online test bank for participants
> Multi-Stage Mock Test

The program investment is as follows:-

> Training Fees: RM 2,850.00 (without exam)
> PMI Membership Fee: USD 139 & Exam Fee: USD 405 (Payment is made by individual direct to PMI)
> For the exam you can either apply directly to PMI, USA or we can do so with an additional administration charge.

I bought Joseph Phillips' PMP Prep seminar course in Udemy. He provides a legitimate 35-contact hours online classes with materials and quizzes. I relied on his lecture to pass. It costs only RM47.99 (Udemy sales which they will have it from time to time) and I could replay his lectures and stream his courses whenever I commute.

Alternatively I would also recommend iKompass. They offer intensive 4-day classes on 4 weekdays in a week, or on 2 weekends. The price is of course on the higher side. Pricing differs between company and self-sponsored. You may reach out to them to enquire further.

Hope this helps.

No, you aren't allowed to bring in anything, including stationaries and water bottle. Your essentials are required to be stored at allocated lockers. All stationaries will be provided to you at the exam desk.

PMP used to allow brain dump during the 15-min tutorial prior to the actual exam, but they no longer allow it now. You are not allowed to scribble anything on the given paper, including formulas or the table of processes until the actual exam starts.

It is not compulsory, and it depends on each individual. For me, I definitely see the benefit of brain dump. I don't want to spend time deciphering the questions and trying to recall at which stages/processes the questions are referring to.

You just need the patience to repetitively copy the table whenever you study. I did it for multiple times and it became habitual. Also, the brain dump is very useful to refer to during the exam. The questions are long, situational, not straight forward, and most of them involve what will the immediate next/previous/best steps to take if you were a PM.

Yes, it's difficult, but I can assure you that it can be done. smile.gif

Exactly, plus time is limited so we've got to be quick! I'm doing the questions by chapter and i do refer to the chart/formulas for some questions. I'm trying not to refer to any notes and just focus on the formulas/chart.

I need to try your method of copying the chart and formulas. Thanks for the tip biggrin.gif
