I booked a unit in Block A last week. Loan just approved and going to sign S&P soon.

Most likely I will not stay in The Zest as I got other landed prop. Might rent/sell later or my parents might want to move in there.

Don't think so. Was there to sign my S&P yesterday and saw around 7 units left. 1 at the ground floor with private garden, 3 low floors where the sides are west facing units and around 3 units on the high floors.

The remaining units are for Tower A only.

The units are actually North/KLCC facing, but since it is a corner unit, the side of the unit actually gets the evening sun although the balcony is still north facing view.

Dear all,
i have a plan. why not we create a website for zest resident and the feature of the website benefit the resident. like the "latest news", "latest event", "Complaint", all the feature can publish in the front end at the website. got CMS and resident login function.

can we gather some of the website volunter programmer to discuss it before we can really form the committee. after the committee been form, we can put their email or contact number at the website. so, when there are problem, every resident know whom they can contact.

i am doing server and hosting. i can provide the Linux Hosting for 1st year free. anyone can sponsor domain and programming side ? then we can install forum at the website. since there are huge traffic for this topic.

i can be contact at 017-3282011 or email me at shiewwai85@hotmail.com

Hi shiewwai85,

I have started a community website something like this for my other property that I have. I already have the hosting plan and am a programmer an administrator for it. It started of as a forum thread as well, but was too difficult to read and for people to keep track.

I don't need sponsorship for the domain/webhost as the current service I am paying for supports multiple domains.

Let me know if anyone is interested and I can get this setup relatively quickly.

Hi all,

I've created a new forum based website as http://www.thezest.my . Since this thread is growing very fast and have huge traffic, it might be better we carry out The Zest related discussion in this new site. Otherwise, weeding though hundreds of posts in a single thread would be quite difficult to do and keep track of the discussions that is ongoing.

Hopefully the zest residents can support this initiative which I started smile.gif .

Thanks

Hi folks, can continue the discussion at http://www.thezest.my ?

Better to open up a new thread on the shoe rack related discussion can go to http://www.thezest.my/forums/index.php?board=6.0

and the built up area discussion can go to:
http://www.thezest.my/forums/index.php?board=2.0

brutus has posted all the unit types layouts there already

Thanks & Cheers

wow normaldude..
great work there with thezest.my..
where did u get that template from?

Erm.. just use those free CMS system and free templates that I got from the internet (thanks to google). Takes a bit of time to search through all the ones and this is the most decent one I could find.

I dedicated my last weekend to create thezest.my since got people came up with this suggestion. Hope the zesters can make full use of it smile.gif

http://www.thezest.my ---> bro...remove all the ads la. it should be non-profitable portal ma. dont take advantage from the traffic this topic produces for personal gain. no offend ya. =)

I'll try to remove 2 ads on the main board index page, because it looks a bit off. The ads are to cover the costs mainly. Most free forums have ads including lowyat.net, rite? It's not for personal gain, but if someone can sponsor the hosting and domain permanently with sufficient bandwidth, then the ads can be taken off. I was not keen on a free 1 year hosting because moving hosts is a messy job, and I quite like my current web host.

Shared hosting bandwidth is limited, so when traffic is high, cost also increases due to bandwidth consumption. Appreciate your comments, and will take off some, but it won't be ad-free unless we move to those free hosts (which has more limitation and poor speed).

Somehow i find disussing here in lowyat is much easier tho..

My experience from other sites is that individual threads in multiple sites appeal to a specific group of people. Example is lowyat.net surfers are mostly computer enthusiasts. Real estate investors would be surfing on a different forums, and so would bandar kinrara residents, business owners, real estate agents. Most people would also not want to go through hundreds of post in a single thread just to find some info (unless the person is really free), so having own forums is beneficial in this sense as people can choose to browse/monitor the topics they are only interested in.

Having own "brand" or domain for the online community will appeal to a wider group of people which wants to know more about The Zest. If we can have a common place for the online community to get together, it will be easier to do things in the future such as JMBs or if you want to rent/sell your property. You can technically do so on any other sites as well, but from what I experience previously having an own community site provide a more specialized focus on a specific area that other sites normally do not provide as it is usually a more generalist approach.

Just my 2 cents. Cheers!

Yeah, I didn't notice this prob coz did not happen on my PC and notebook. It's some alignment problem, that's why it looks flying and overlap with other things (and also I understand why people think I was trying to profit from it - this was not the intention). Will be fixed or taken out soon.
