Hi, been following this thread for awhile, and yes, that makes me one of the owner as well...

My only concern is how third party contractor able to add a fan point without hacking/cutting much of soffit of the concrete slab considering slab is the support for whatever you put on floor. It is always easier and safer to add light/fan points before concreting (which can be only done via developer's offer). This is a high rise building without ceiling (correct me if i'm wrong) so I see no way to add the points AFTER concreting without hacking/cutting the concrete slab.

Heck, worse case scenario use stand fan...

PS: Can anyone check on the DB and MCB? Need confirmation from developer side.

PSS: Did someone said free 2 aircon? or 2 aircon points? and is it referring to aircon drain pipe or copper pipe included? (Okay, i'm abit noobish when it comes to aircon)

Ermm, From ur list, there's no Air Cond piping. Mine, TYPE C = RM3100, with 14 items (inclusive of piping).    piping cost is quite justifiable, isit?

It worries me as well, since there's really no more information related to this so called 'renovation' other than the point list. They should have at least provide the layout for us to decide.

1. I would like to know, if we reject this package, can we ask for the points installation based on our choice (Amount, type and location) further in the future? Coz, for my current condo (The one I'm staying now), the developer actually gave me the list of points and etc with their prices and, would install them based on my preference.
2. If we're to install these points or piping AFTER the house is built, that would actually incur more cost as contractor would need to break the wall in order to install the wiring and stuffs. i think it would be best if they could install it based on my preferences?

went to the showroom on monday to have a look at the plans on where the power points would be located. unfortunately, i was not allowed a copy...hence cant share it with u guys here. my take on the 'renovation' package - not worth it, will not be accepting the offer.

my initial concerns were the fan points for rooms n aircond piping. however, the additional fan points in the renovation package would replace the existing light point at the ceiling, and the light point would be shifted to the side. i would prefer my light to be mounted on the ceiling instead...and guess i can make do with table / column fans as the room is not that big anyway.

aircond piping...hafta hack the wall n plaster back, this wan no choice. but for the RM3100 saved, tink i can afford to buy 2 airconds + hack + plaster + paint with spare change left!

for my unit type (type C), they're giving an additional fan point at the dining but i'm not planning to install a fan there. the fan hook will look pretty out of place then. as TT doesnt allow us to choose or customise the points we want (and of course the indeed high price changed), i wun be accepting the package.

also when i asked the sales rep y some units are oni charged RM1400 for these points, i was told that RM1400 is for studio units n RM3100 is for type A - E 3r 2b units. anyone here can clarify if this is true?

visited the office yesterday to check on the reno. package and the SE explained in details as follows:

2  concealed A/C copper piping and drain pipes +1 light point + 7 power points + 4 fan points with hooks
total RM 3100. RM 1400 for units sold earlier (Block C) with free A/C.

SE explained all the wiring circuits run from the Distribution Board not like most of renovation tapping from
nearest  power point which might overload and cause tripping in future.I think we need to consider this point
and also the hacking and touch up work if done later.

SE also explained for room 2 & 3, NO A/C reno provided as the distance are near to the compressor ( Yard or
the A/C compartment) and can be done later when we want it.

He also explained it is very difficult to monitor the construction of individual units if too many variations are allowed.

Have anyone try to get some quotes from contractors on the pricing to compare the cost  ?

The package is too expensive!  Aiya, forumers here gang up and get a good contractor to do it at a fraction la...
