Hello, I am new to this forum.
I have recently purchased a Nokia 6700 Classic and just yesterday wanted to remove the MicroSD card that came with the phone so that I can put in my own 8GB card. However, when I tried to press the card in slightly to release the lock (as per instructions in the User Guide) it could not be pressed in... I ended up just pulling the card out.
My question is: have I unwittingly damaged the lock mechanism when I pulled the card out? Or, was the lock mechanism jammed in the first place (as I could not press the card in)? Or, are the instructions in the User Guide wrong? (that is, there is actually no lock mechanism and the right way to remove the card is to just pull it out).
Any information/input/advice is much appreciated. Thank you.
Warmest regards,
C Y Poh

Do not force ur card out , it may damage your SD tray and might need replacement for that SD tray is expensive.

I have also called Nokia Malaysia this morning, and according to them to remove the MicroSD card all I need to do is to pull the card out using my fingernail against the raised curved edge of the card... there is no push-in-and-release lock mechanism; this is at least the case for units sold in Malaysia. Also, I found out that the tap-to-mute, tap-to-reject-calls and tap-to-display-clock functions are all disabled for Nokia 6700 Classic sold in Malaysia... oh well, just my luck! Thanks. Warmest regards, C Y Poh

Warmest regards, C Y Poh hi cy, i was abt to buy this phone when i read your post. was it Nokia M'sia that told you the tap functions are disabled? does it mean there is no accelerometer, or just that it's not been activated (and could be activated later by firmware update)? thanks...
