Hi old newspaper, Welcome! biggrin.gif

Nice collection, yeah Gadgetworld2u might have those glow in the dark you looking for. They also carry various quality brands of flashlights like Fenix, Tiablo, Olight.

I see you are waiting for a Quark. We have a new local Quark dealer too smile.gif Should see Polkiuj in LYN.
*
thanks for the warm welcome icon_rolleyes.gif

actually i need only the tritium vials....they look pretty cool on the flashlight [ and of course useful too...just like those Lummi Raw / Wee ]. thought of buying it from the CPF forumer but the waiting shipping period is killing me.....

yeah, i bought my Fenix Stainless Steel LD01 and Nitecore D10 R2 from gadgetworld2u....saw the tritium keychain but not very keen on those...

Weiii rookiedaddy, flashlight collector now grease collector also? nuts rclxub.gif Which one you are using now for your flashlights?

I read krytox 50/50 is most recommended by CPF'ers, can't find the post yet. You got any link reference? Would like to read the technical part of the 50 50.

The one I'm using now seems sufficient already smile.gif

here's some negative comment on krytox.... http://www.candlepowerforums.com/vb/showthread.php?p=2214478

all my flashlights are still spanking new and never lube before....looking for a lube now biggrin.gif

*
not all flashlight...some other stuff like cell batteries, rechargable AAA, AA, and some cree r2 emitter for modding purposes.....

as for flashlight, i bought this;

MTE SSC P7 C-Bin 900-Lumen 8-Mode LED Flashlight (1*18650)
http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.13060, after reading some review here, http://www.detailingbliss.com/forum/f75/pr...-p7-c-8701.html brows.gif it's more a flood than throw but from the review it's really got my attention....

and some other stainless steel AAA/AA flashlight....i'm a fan of those small light [ i means really small light ] especially made from stainless steel or titanium....

i bought some light from goinggear.com too [ of course with cpf discount coupon drool.gif ] , namely titanium Thrunite, titanium VersaTi [ useless light...lol], and stainless steel iTP upgraded light....

but out of all this, my favorite is still those Lummi Raw & Wee......argggh the waiting period is killing me now !!! and not to mention Quark Titanium AA drool.gif

polkiuj,
for QuarkTi, it's coming very soon.....still got 14 days to go before shipping... rclxm9.gif

for the Lumens Factory, the only thing i like is the 'lego'ing part, design wise i actually like it wo....lol....hmm, i don't have any SF as it's way too expensive to toy around

susuman,
there's only 2 source, Lumens Factory HK itself and lighthound.com for time being....

i'd compare both, it's slighty cheaper to get from HK directly...even lighthound is selling a couple dollar cheaper and with the 2% cpf discount coupon still overall the total price is higher than buying from HK [ it's the shipping cost culprit vmad.gif ]

here's the price i got today from HK;

The break up of your order is:

SP-6 $45.99 + $7.50
M Turbo Head $98.00 + $6.00
M Adaptor $15.00 + $1.85

Total is $174.34

i haven't decide to buy it yet, maybe Philightsophy could offer a better deal here? brows.gif

oh, btw the M Turbo Head is on limited run tho......

Hi guys,

Yes, the Seraph SP6 and SP9 will be available at the end of this month. Hopefully it arrives sooner than expected smile.gif
In addition, there will be cell extenders, D36 turbo heads, D26 LED and Xenon modules, and D36 Xenon Modules. The Xenon modules will be predominantly of HO version, since EO runtimes are quite short for the extra lumens over HO.
No IMR modules this time around, but it is possible to pre-order for them for the next batch.
I will be glad to assist with further questions regarding Lumens Factory smile.gif
*
indeed a good news for us here !!!! biggrin.gif

please keep me update / posted on this ya....very keen on the SP-6 (Led) 3 mode and probably with the extender

Err, I think polkiuj will be the best person to talk to, regarding keychain lights + high output  biggrin.gif
You get so much heat build up in a small body that running it over 100 lumens is a 'heated' affair smile.gif . Also, it is meant as an EDC and emergency/backup light. 60 lumens from lights is rather bright in dark environments wink.gif

About the scratches, LiteMania mentioned this:
If you scrub with soft material like a door key,
you will observe a line looks like a scratch above.
Actually this line is not a scratch,
but a continuation of debris off the metal key left in the
very minute surface structure of heat treated titanium.
In such case, we recommend to polish the light with a Metal Glow.
That is it.

From my understanding, the heat treated version is very hard and can be restored with a non abrasive metal polish.
*
kinda agree with you.....but if given a choice i would prefer a newer emitter r2/r4 and better still if it comes with at least 2 -3 mode. just like my Raw Ns which is 20/200 lumens configurations. i have quite a number of those small light and i find it slightly warm after 20 - 30 min usage but still feel comfortable to handle it. 60 lumens is definitely brightly enough but not enough to please me...LOL. and with the higher lumens of course we need to sacrifice the runtime but it depends on what's the purpose of the light for...most of my light are purely collection driven....

at first i would thought the same thing, heat treated should be more scratch resistance but looking at the pic, it somehow couldn't convince me enough...unless we have a unit to test it out brows.gif

please correct me if i'm wrong ya as i'm still very noob when comes to flashlight..... icon_rolleyes.gif

Oh!! But I bet the price will be similar to "Philightsophy", why not PM him? It is faster to get from local dealer, he was telling me the EagleTac should arrive soon.
BTW, I already ordered from Philightsophy one set of T20C2 RGB Kit, I am sure he already give that the discount (or isn't he?  hmm.gif )
(Philightsophy, free advertisement haha, so can you give me a discount code for discount when checking out,  brows.gif  )

One more problem for US is the shipping is expensive, usually they will just ship without "Registered Mail" service (called Signature Required in US, Signfor in UK), if you need Signature Required and Online Tracking then you have to pay more (both are add on), some store don't even allow insurance for Malaysia, so...

US Shipping also so far take longest time to arrive, I had parcel took 2 months. Having said that, ordering from UK only need 1 week to arrive, and signfor is cheaper too.

1 funny observation, I ordered items from international sellers, usually Registered Mail send faster by POS malaysia, airmail parcel sometimes takes longer time for the Kastam or POS to send to me.
i was considering whether to get EagleTac T20C2 [ USD 49.74 price after discount ] / M2XC4 [ USD 91.74 price after discount ], this is a very attractive price which include free shipping. this is due to clearance sale they having now and it's only for limited time only as they no longer become Eagletac dealer in US

[ bro Philightsophy, no offence ya.....i have no doubt at all on your products and excellent service.....but just very tempted on this offer ]

so far i have no issue with shipment from US [ previously order some lights from goinggear ] and it took exactly 2 week to reached ! i still have 3 more shipment from US too [ from shinningbeam ] and hopefully i have no issue this time......

as for dealextreme, i have shipping issue now....[ first time happen to me ], no tracking number provided and i have waited more than 1 month now...the reason being the purchased value less than USD 15, so they don't use registered mail.....it's not my fault as they separate my order due to some products is still not available yet at that time......so this is going to be my last order from them ! vmad.gif

ohh, speaking about Lummi Wee and Raw, Rob promised will shipped mine within month of October with an upgraded shipment using Airsure and of course some goodies from him too ! i have waited this for more than 2 weeks since my order placed... biggrin.gif

Bro old newspaper, nowadays the tracking number cannot be trace in Pos Malaysia site, very pitty, last year still can, but now you cannot tack registered mail anymore (from foreign country). I hope your Item is ok. So far ordered 14 times from DealExtreme, so far none go missing. Even 1 is just plain airmail.

What you ordered from DealExtreme?

And WOW, 49.74 is really cheap then! drool.gif BTW, where you get the info about the discount code and stock clearance??? I didn't see in their web site wor.
*
bro, this is where i got the info from http://www.cpfmarketplace.com/mp/showthread.php?t=200875

i purchase some holster, strong earth magnet, cheap light, cell batteries from dealextreme. usually i received the parcel from DX in less than 2 weeks with registered mail, but this time i been waited for more than 5 weeks and still no news yet ! [ all not registered mail ] mad.gif how long does the unregistered airmail usually takes?

btw, which Lumens factory did you purchased? SP-9 with D36 head + xenon module? i really really want to see the xenon performance in reallife situation.... drool.gif wondering how good is xenon module.....mind to share here with pic or maybe we can meet up? brows.gif

Bro old newspaper, have you have any Xenon before, it is those Yellowish hot light bulb, very bright, like car front lamp. it use heat to generates light (I suppose) as oppose to LED which generates light directly, and heat is the by product of the conversion.

Generally, LED is much more power efficient, so can run much longer.

Xenon is very short run time, maybe an hour or so. For my 20W Xenon, 2x18650 only last 40-45 minutes.
And Xenon life span is very short, may be 20-30 hours, some is more
but LED easily 50,000 to 100,000 hours, virtual you don't need to replace it.

1 advance of Xenon is , the color rendition when in the wood or outdoor, the same amount of lumens, Xenon provide better vision outdoor. While LED gives good vision when you looking at White or Blue objects.

So that is why I love Neutral White LED (the 5A bin), it gives better vision when you are out site the house.

For comparison, I have a SSC P7 900 lumes LED and a 20W Xenon 600 lumens, the Xenon beats the P7 when looking at trees 100m away. But the Xenon only can run for 40m, while the P7 can run for 1.5 hours, both running at 2x18650

And the LED I won't worry about the Life span of the bulb, while I know I have to replace the Xenon sooner or later.
*
thanks for the info bro susuman ! rclxms.gif nope, i don't have any xenon based light at all....i only have 1 of those old big chunky dolphin incandescent light....

i'm now more eager to see the xenon in action ! drool.gif
