M2XC4 as EDC? hahaha you must have a big and deep pocket bro
I got the SF M6 locally from dealer. The 500 lms high output is a monster! Cut through the night like a light saber! My TK40 at max did not throw as far but close. |

QUOTE(friedricetheman @ Sep 10 2009, 01:10 PM) Hi and greeting to all my fellow lowyat.net forumers! I usually troll around the wii and xbox sections, didn't know that there is a Torchlight collectors post in lowyat.net too. Hehe.. I recently just bought another torchlight from Pelican. This time a Trekker light so I can go hiking in FRIM this weekend with my wife. I own multiple Surefires (8 of them and two more coming) and I would second what polkiuj states below. I also own 2 Fenix lights, 3 Jetbeams, 1 Olight and 1 Nitecore with a Tiablo coming as well. I never regret spending on Surefires. I think they are located in Jalan Klang Lama. They web address is http://www.peli.com.my. I can't remember the phone number of their showroom from the top of my head but I think it's on their website somewhere. I called them up and spoke to a girl name Angeline. She was really friendly. She said will help with the replacement of parts even though I didn't buy it from them. I felt bad so last Tuesday, I went back over there and bought a Trekker light and a 1500EMS case to keep my Ipod, PSP and handphone dry while I dive from them. Btw, what do you guys think of the Surefire lights? Is it any good? What is the price range I'm looking at? Is it more expensive than Pelican lights? I saw some at the Curve the other day... QUOTE(polkiuj @ Sep 10 2009, 06:37 PM) Here's my 2ยข. I don't own any but played with some. Surefires are something you can trust. They have the most complete line of lights and accessories. Probably one of the best warranty. Some lights are truly awesome and out of this world. But the price also reflects the build and engineering that has gone into them. Also, they are somewhat less versatile. |

New to the forum and this hobby. Been lurking around for the past two months or so. Met a few people like Dannie and Gwen at gw2u. Great folks. I am also expecting some Eagletac products from bro Philightsophy soon. Certainly have learned quite a bit from folks here and CPF.
Would have loved to join the upcoming meet but will be unable to make my way out to Serdang. As I stay in Kota Damansara, if the meet after next is in KD again, would be glad to join. Cheers! |

QUOTE(z-b-i @ Oct 14 2009, 07:22 PM) I used to use the forwarding service by a CPF member, Unforgiven. He charges a small fee for his service but it's still worth it. Care to PM me who that is as a CPF member offered me the same service but I wasn't sure whether he was trustworthy. It was an expensive light I was planning to purchase. Most of the time, folks in CPF would ship international via International Priority or EMS (expensive). You just have to PM them to ask even if they clearly say US only. Not such luck with websites in the US shipping SF international. I got my LX2 and E2DL through ebay. Locally. the price of the E2DL has dropped to 699. |

QUOTE(susuman @ Oct 19 2009, 03:08 PM) The E2DL is just 120lm, if the LX2 is 200lm, then it should be very very bright, but in short distance, I think we cannot differentiate it. I have both the E2DL and LX2. E2DL has been measured hitting 200 lm OTF, typical SF lumens. I have not read anything about the LX2 registering greater than 200 lm but safe to say it is likely higher than 200 lm OTF. Visually, The LX2 is visibility brighter than the E2DL, it is noticeable but not a day and night difference. If, so I also want!! |

Susuman, Old Newspaper, Strinq,
I got it from eBay as Tropical Equipment is not bringing in the LX2 supposedly until this month (I got it in September). Their prices is very much higher than what you could get online (most of you know this anyways). I paid USD 150. I paid about USD 27 for shipping as I also got an E2DL with two holsters at the same time. eBay is your best bet since most reputable online retailers will not ship SF outside the US. Back to the LX2 output, 220-230lm sounds about right. I did a quick comparison (white wall about 5 ft away) amongst these I own with similar output range: - SF E2DL (120 lumens more like 200 lm OTF) - Elzetta ZFL-M60 with Malkoff M60 (235 lm OTF) - Olight M20 Warrior Premium R2 (250 lm) Order starting from what I perceived as the brightest hotspot: - The Olight has the brightest hostpot among the 5. (SMO Reflector) - The LX2 and Elzetta are too close to notice any visible differences and just barely edges the E2DL - E2DL Again, this is what I perceived and the differences are barely noticeable, with the exception of the Olight M20 Premium R2 having a distinctively brighter hotspot than the rest. Also, the E2DL is really close to 200 lm than the rated 120 lm. I unfortunately will not make it to this weekend outing due to prior commitments This post has been edited by Lazyboy: Oct 22 2009, 02:30 AM |

QUOTE(jwyj @ Oct 28 2009, 05:39 AM) 4th November Wednesday - 8.30pm onwards is great for me. There is a huge parking lot a two blocks behind Nikko that you all can test but a better place would be the KLCC Park right behind KLCC and next to the parking lot. |

QUOTE(alantch @ Nov 4 2009, 02:04 PM) Not at the moment ... if I'm able to find another Megalennium body (that uses 3x18650 vs 3x17670 for the M6), I may consider selling it off. When that happens, I'll surely check here with you guys first before opening it to the world. I almost jumped on this but decided to go with a 26W HID as I already have the Jil Lite Eznite 10W HID. There were 2 3x18650 Megalennium bodies that went on sale in CPF the past few weeks and I manage to snag one. Just keep an eye out as there maybe more on sale.I haven't fired it up in quite a while, so perhaps I'll do so in the next few days, time permitting. I remembered the first time I turned it on after dark in my garden, I didn't know where to point it as it got so bright that I thought I'd surely disturb or upset the neighbours. They'd have thought WTH is that light I bought it for more then the sale price, if you factor in the EMS shipping Link here : Mini HID for sale |

QUOTE(alantch @ Nov 4 2009, 03:25 PM) Lazyboy, your Eznite, is it using primary batts or the rechargeable pack? I read the output is fantastic due to it's superior reflector (made by Polarion) and the fact that you can adjust focus as well. And which 26W HID is that you got? Do tell more or even better, some pics! Both. I got the light originally without the rechargeable and later on added the pack. It's a fantastic little HID and the reflector makes a big difference.QUOTE(pseudoblue @ Nov 4 2009, 03:26 PM) alantch, pseudobluehttp://www.cpfmarketplace.com/mp/showthread.php?t=201958 <= I am giving this new Tactical HID 26W a try. Just ordered so no pics at the moment. Will share once I get it, hopefully next week This post has been edited by Lazyboy: Nov 5 2009, 07:43 AM |

QUOTE(pseudoblue @ Nov 5 2009, 05:46 PM) Oh, haha it's okay you don't owe me anything Now this time I can likely join Some of you know the lumapower vantage has two lanyard holes side by side at the tailcap. Seems like a nicely fit compatible clip, like the NiteCore D20 (but theirs are wider unless I drill more holes in between).. Any of you know how to get a clip like that? Stainless steel tail clip would look awesome on the vantage! And btw... For our next gathering, let's head on to Kota Damansara Community Forest Park! . - Tentative date will be looking into January 2010. - Plan to make it into a walk where we can chill, have fun and take our time, explore the pitch blackness of the forest and cool ambient sightings of the fireflies and the stars beyond. Yesss, but take note we might be under bright lights the entire time. - Meet around 8.30-9.00pm at KD Trail and in for the walk! (have our own dinner beforehand) - Bring only the lights that matters - And, I may need to explore that area first, see what to expect. Until the next announcement! |
