For the tint thingy, u really got to use it outdoors or more specifically in places with lots of vegetation.
Really nicer to observe the colour of flowers etc etc.
Quite big difference actually.

When i have the moolah i want to get myself a surefire too.
Eh whoever has surefires bring them to the gathering ya, wanna see what's all the fuss about.
susu, really really want to see ur E2DL.

Why get so hung up on what the calipers (or other BF measuring device) say?  Just use the mirror to check your progress.

Yeah would love to look at the LX2.
But susuman, lazyboy is right.
The LX2 states 200 lumens but its not like the other surefires where the lumens is understated. Saw a few ppl mention in cpf that with this model they're bring more realistic as in stating almost the right OTF lumens so it's not like the E2DL where 120 lumens is mentioned but in reality its like 200 lumens OTF. L2X is probably like 230-240 lumens?

Woah, look at the heatsink on the Quark turbo...
Looks like they're readying for massive output...

Just went for a night run just now, more like evening - night run.
Used the Eagletac T20C2 with the diffuser and on medium mode. Just enough to see where I'm going cuz when running you need the light to be pretty bright cuz u don't want to stumble over anything. When walking the medium mode is more than sufficient.
But the diffuser does lower output quite significantly.
On high its really nice.

I think it's really difficult to get a surefire dealership here.
They're considered a big company so unless ur willing to commit fully and all that, don't think it'll be possible to secure the dealership.

Also, it's probably just marginally brighter. I think they're leaning towards being more realistic instead of drastically understating their lumen output.
So the brightness of this version is probably the same as the LX2 meaning that it'll just be slightly brighter than the older E2DL.

*edit
- just read at cpf, it's the same E2DL, just different packaging

Added on October 24, 2009, 1:04 pmLol, one more thing, who want the Eneloop AAA's?
Since the preons are coming...

Please tell me before tonight cuz I have to get extra if anyone wants them.

Wow, great meeting you guys.

Thanks susuman for the drinks. smile.gif

It really feels good to be able to 'share' the lights and have a feel of them. Would be impossible without a gathering so appreciate everyone who organized it. pseudoblue, old newspaper and susuman.

The Xeno feels like a tank. Awesome build.
The E2DL just feels different. Don't really know how to explain it but different in a good way.
Wow, the quarks are really nice lights. Still amazed at the AA Quark on Turbo, that's really bright for an AA light...

Mini moke really takes care of his lights! biggrin.gif
The bicycle rubber thingy is a good idea if u often abuse ur lights and don't use it on high all the time.
And solid homemade holsters man.

And my, the raw and wee is super cute. I would border them to being jewelery. And BRIGHT for their size.

We went to a very nice place for testing out the lights. A short but sufficiently dark 'forest-y' trail and a nice road for the beamshots.
Can really see the difference between the cool white and neutral whites.
Still like the cool on roads and urban areas but the neutrals rule in the jungle.

Now we shall wait for nightstalker to post his pics up.
Would have loved to mamak with u guys but need to go back klang really early tmr morning so need to catch up on my sleep and my 'makwe' already ask me to tapau something lol.
Too bad u couldn't join us zenith but no worries, will have another chance.

Ok, signing off for now.

The camo light is the MG PLi MCE. Flood goodness.

Oh yeah, gotta say that the LED Lenser is pretty nice also. Like the feel of it in the hand.

Actually what would be really great is a 2days 1 night camping trip.
THAT would be an awesome chance to really play with the lights...
And we can actually light up the whole camping area from the moment darkness falls till dawn with the amount of batteries and lights we all have.
