Ok the promised beam shots on LF SP6, (no time to upload)

Camera settings:
1/15, F1.8 ISO 200, Sun White Balance, distance about 4m

FYI: the photo is somewhat not accurate to compare as good as the naked eyes. For example, sometimes using Xenon appeared too dark in photo, but it was well illuminated in real world with eyes. Guess the eye and camera not work 100% the same, especially the size of the spot is different.

The order is
Lumens Factory SP6 3 Mode LED 3.7V
Fenix PD30
Surefire E2D L Defender
47 123^2 Neutral White
Aurora SSC P7
Lumens Factory SP6 Xenon 4 (190lm)
20W Xenon (600lm)!!

Overall:
The SP6 is very tight in hot spot, good thrower, but still not able to beat Jetbeam RRT2 yet.
When using the Xenon 4, maybe because of the wattage in 1 cell 18650, the output is not very high, but good enough to lite in the wood, but not really great thrower.
the Surefire has very wide hotspot, but throw equally well.
Fenix PD30 is average shinning the green leafs, nothing to shout about.
47 123^2 gives good average illumination in outdoor due to the Neutral White.
Aurora SSC P7 is very broad wide flood light, so it appear not bright in photo, but in building, it really rocks.

I have another set, will upload soon.

Yes, I think it is because the bigger head (reflector). The SP6 uses D26 size drop in, which is the surefire standard P60 size, which has a bigger head than the 4Sevens. And I really like the look if the TA21, looks so cool.

Here go another set, with Jetbeam RRT2

Camera settings:
1/60, F1.8 ISO 800, Sun White Balance, distance about 8m

This time the order sorted by the brightest of HOTSPOT by my eyes from Top:
Jetbeam RRT2 (Winner, it has the biggest head/reflector, and focusable beam make the tight hotspot very bright)
Surefire E2DL (Not bad, wide hotspot but still very bright, just too expenseive)
Lumens Factory SP6 3 Mode LED (Cree XR-E, R2 LED) (tight hot spot, that is why it is good thrower)
Fenix PD30 (Good throw in medium distance, considered its size, it is actually very good)
4Sevens 123^2 Neutral White (It is actually not bad, but it looks dimmed in photo)
Aurora SSC P7 (It has very wide beam, so it looks bright, but the hotspot is not as bright)
Lumens Factory SP6 Xenon EO-4 (3.7V, 190 Lumens) (I have to adjust abit the picture, my camera just don't capture light from Xenon well)

This order is really subjective, but the photo really cannot 100% tell you everything.

I should have the 20W Xenon to compare, but that night really not convenient, my sons keep kacau me. laugh.gif

ps : just added the Philips 20W Xenon , it just dominating. It should be in the Top, but I added it last , just took the shot 6 days later.

It looks ok, mine is silicon grease also, but much thinner, and very transparent. This silicon gel looks tick, perfect for lubing the O ring and thread. Which ACE shop you bought it? How much is it, mind to help me buy one? I rarely goto ACE.

Oh, really, I am looking for thick silicon grease, because after you apply the grease, and use it for sometimes, it become so watery, I like the grease comes with Aurora P7, it was really thick and stays after long use, so you mean the ACE own branded silicon grease is better? hmm.gif

old newspaper, you did notice ACE has the silicon grease when you bought TOYO silicon grease.

B) 24th Oct 2009 - Saturday - 8.30pm @ MCD Taman Equine > Park nearby. (Tentative confirmed date and location)
Address for MCD @ Tmn Equine: Jalan Putra Permai 2, Taman Putra Permai, Seri Kembangan, Selangor 43300. You can find the location on google maps.

Susuman, because of the moddings/repairs,  I was just thinking that we can all meet up at MCD Tmn Equine first, and then probably head to your home. We can continue our discussions there and head to the park later biggrin.gif Just a suggestion though. If you need a few days with it, then it's fine.

*
I am good on 24th, McD is nice place to hang out, and I found besides the park, can also goto Maybank after meet up in McD, there is a vacant land and there is some woods , good to test the throw (Beside Wisma Penyayang, Alice Smith Int School).

If can discuss in McD is better, if all go to my house ah, my son sure kacau cry.gif

Can you record who coming in the post, updating as they confirm or cancel? And maybe with what light they are bring in.

I agree 24th Oct 8:30pm, Tmn Equine McD
I will bring
Conqueror 20W Xenon
Lumens Factory SP6, 3.7V LED and Xenon (But I tot OldNewspaper bought it liao, before he come to check it out LOL)

Most of the time actually only need flood. Very rarely do we need to see things at a long distance at night. Unless search and rescue or something. But in the true spirit of flashaholism, get both!

true spirit of flashaholism, I like that. Will bring the P7 then.

Haha, polkiuj, I got T20C2 RGB KIT Neutral White yesterday, no problem so far, beam not tested yet. But it looks good tight hot spot with the SMO reflector, and the OP reflector is smooth.

So far so good, just a issue not problem, it's reverse polarity protection design, it has a very short + node with a ring protecting it from reversal battery insert, so I have 18650 that the + node is recessed, so if you pump the flashlight when you on, it tents to off/on back, or when you twist the head to switch general mode from high, it might off too. Anyway it is fixed if use a proper 18650 + node (non recessed).

Anyway, it has a very nice CR123A tube, so using 2 CR123A is possible without battery rattle inside the body, nice design though.

The RGB kit is even better, very nice beam. Unlike Jetbeam, the SS Bezel cannot removed, the glass lens will not fall off, it was hold from the inside, which is GREAT design. Some lights when you change the Bezel, the glass lens is loose too, might fell off accidentally.

Agree, which light don't have an issue or design problem? My surefire E2DL has a issue in the tailcap string too, it was "Senget" a bit, and trigger on when you un-screwing the tailcap. and it is not gold plated!!!! cry.gif

Hmm, i think dx is fine. But lots of ppl have complained about them.
Best if u spend enough to get them to ship with a tracking number. I think minimum of USD80 or something like that.
*
DX required USD$15 and about to eligible for register airmail; which takes 1 weeks to arrive, so far no problem with this, even some items are shipped without registered airmail arrive safely, I and the postman is good friend liao mah.

But the problem is DX don't have much solarforce, I think phasing out, don't want to carry anymore.

You like that too, I have contacted the flashlight distributor, who he also customising , he see what he can do when he back to factory.

But if using this as the host, then mod the SS Bezel to look like surefire, not bad also mah, hor
then put our logo or something in the SS Bezel, wahkakaka drool.gif

Oh, I forgot to mention that you should give the Xenon a try again at night and shine at trees and grasses. Compare the Xenon with a cool white LED and observe the difference smile.gif
Xenon won't be please a "white-wall" hunter, although it is fine with me  biggrin.gif
Regarding the threads, yes they can be tight. I recommend cleaning it and relube for better 'feel'  brows.gif
*
Philightsophy is right, Xenon is good use for outdoor, in fact I love it using in door too. Haha, drool.gif you will get use to it, once you realised it is so good outdoor on trees.

I lune it using the Silicon Grease comes with it, it is perfect now, btw, Philightsophy, you sell these Silicone Grease? Looking for good thick Silicon Grease.

And bro Philightsophy, bad news, my son just did a drop test on the T20C2 cry.gif about 3 feet above the marble floor.
Good news is, the light surviced.
Bad news is, it was dropped without the SS Bezel (While I was changing the RGB Lens), so the edge/thread that hold the SS Bezel bend one side.

The RGB Lens fits ok, but the SS Bezel cannot go in.

I spents an hour fix it by filing the thread and the SS Bezel. It is still tight when screwing in and the Edge of the Body (that hold the SS Bezel ) has some visible chips (cover it using black ink marker). and it unnoticeable if not looking closely.

My question is, can I buy just only this part? It is the cylinder body, which holds the SS Bezel, Reflector and the Lens, and which the Knurling on its surface. If you don't have, will ET supply that? Let me know please!

Image 1 to 3 shows the part that dented,
Image 4 is zoom out, which it is not so noticeable
Image 5 is with the SS Bezel on, still look good anyway.

Just wanted to have a new part as spare if possible.
The G is , do not drop if the SS Ring is not in place rclxub.gif

PS : Thank for Philightsophy for the concern and action immediately I PM him. Hope the new part not so expensive lor icon_question.gif

Yes, I do sell ET brand silicon grease smile.gif
Sorry to hear about your T20C2, I will 'steal' some of the pictures you took and pass it to ET.
*
Oh, I just saw your thread that mentioned the ET Silicon Grease at RM4? How much is the quantity of the grease, is it like the one include in the T20C2? I would like a bigger quantity if possible, or else can you PM me the price for 10-20 (of those tiny container)?

And thanks a lot for the concern and quick action taken, it is really helpful to have you distributing and servicing ET flashlight owners. After some more fixing, I am able to close the SS Bezel, and it will not be noticeable with the cover up. icon_idea.gif

Good lesson to my son though, this morning he is playing flashlight and telling me that he hold the flashlight firmly. thumbup.gif

oops...sorry. gotten a bit worried as another bro tumpang with me also. i just got a confirmation from another buyer too that this parcel will be mail to our home as normal mail, no verification required. so make sure there's someone at home to receive it otherwise it will be place at your gate unattended. this is my first time buying from 47 tho...

i already have 2 parcel [maybe] lost from DX recently cos it was send via unregistered mail because the purchase value is lower than $15.  vmad.gif the customer service always asked me to wait for another week and so on. it has been 45 days since the shipment date.
*
Yes, old newspaper,it is a bit risky to order without signature required (in US, or registered mail), but most US seller do not have this features nor they do not offer them. I had once an US ebay seller did help me to request a Signature Required, it just few dollar more, but they will be no insurance for Malaysia. Bottomline, buying from US, buy at your own risk!

Anyway, I just got a used notebook fan/heatsink for my IBM R50 shipped from US in 2 weeks time, without any problem (no insurance no Signature Req). Oh, have I mention I know the postman, has been talking and sharing with him (to get his help to take care my stuffs lar).

But as I said before, some country they do not like or automatically add the registered mail, in their country, registered mail is expensive, here it is not that expensive, and registered mail means it is insured too, in US, insurance and signature is separated thing.

But so far , I haven't have any loss package (Thank god), but I did have 1 very small item ship from Japan, it took more than 2 months. At last the item arrived, only to find out that the paper envelop was damaged, and it was not registered, so they reseal in Malaysia POS HQ, then send to me, just don't know why need 2 months. But it arrived icon_idea.gif

DX, I had once the item was shipped without registered, it arrive in 1 week too ohmy.gif

So , if you working, better ask them to ship to your office, maybe? Which should be safer. just 1 sen
