QUOTE(Blackbird @ Nov 9 2009, 09:39 PM) Guys, what do you think of the Proton Pro? Selling for USD37.95 at Battery Junction. Here's a review of the Proton Pro. Kinda unique and I like the deep pocket clip. Thinking of getting this and the Quark Mini or ITP A2. nice little light with side switch - unique. |

QUOTE(polkiuj @ Nov 10 2009, 08:09 PM) If I really had to choose between these two? Nitecore but they are really different lights that fulfill different needs. Knurling on NiteCore?YES but the same goes to the Quark as well THe new PD20 is better. Or is it PD10 or something? I dunno. Nitecore wins (for me) purely cos of it's knurling. Heh! |

polkiuj,
if your L1D has an Q5 emitter in it just leave as is because swaping it to K2 TFFC or Cree R2 won't do any justice cause the difference is only on the lux meter not human eye but if your L1D has an P4 emitter than it's worth mentioning . Added on November 11, 2009, 6:10 pmi'll sign off. will be back later at night. C U guys. This post has been edited by surefire v LED: Nov 11 2009, 06:10 PM |

QUOTE(polkiuj @ Nov 12 2009, 09:38 AM) Mine's a LD10. X-RE Q5. I hate the X-RE. So ringy. Your LD10 is ok what with Light Orange Peel (LOP) reflector.I want it to not have rings and able to use 14500 safely. Not so safe also nvm. =D You can use 14500 in it but all levels will be the same except sos&strobe. If you want to minimize the ringy, re-focus the bezel section with soft rubbery mouse pad until that dark halo is disappear. |
