cannot count card at genting cos they shuffle the cards after every deal to ensure there is insufficient penetration of the decks. furthermore they use 6-8 decks - for sufficient penetration, have to use up more than 3-4 decks in one round of play, which is not possible.

(Basic strategy invented by professors in US.) Cos basic strategy says casino win 50%, player wins 43%, draw 7%. over the long run, casino sure win, unless u can find a casino where they use 1 deck and deal by hand, then u can do card counting.

Added on November 19, 2011, 3:54 amone way to win money in genting is to play "video poker", some types of vp have negative edge for casino, so if you play perfect strategy according to the books, you WILL win. But now difficult to find these machines in genting, in fact, I don't see them anymore.

A few years ago, I played the "9-6" VP Jacks or Better machines. Made some money, but takes a lot of effort to play correctly every time. Took the strategy tables along and referred to them, nobody in the casino cared about them. When strike quads or str flush, run with the winnings

btw, JoB is not -ve edge, I think only "full pay" Deuces Wild is.

That's right, the casinos actually welcome people who Martingale. The customer can only win a little but lose a lot. Best type of customer for a casino.
