Try Yonex RDis 100 Midplus (or Mid, 93sq. inches).... brows.gif
And if you have the chance, get some rounds with Volkl racquets as well. Guarantee you won't be dissapointed.

Wow.... Yan, stich, thats something serious that.
I know that hurts like a b*tch.

I once use semi-western (now a modified eastern), but the part my skin tears off is at the top of my thumb....? Is that strange or what? I don't really know.

Ok Yan, I'll reach your place around 3:30pm or so?
Provided it doesn't rain that is.

I think today is the last day to buy online?
If tomorow, best chance to get is to walk-in to a ticketpro outlet and hope for the best that they'd still sell you some tickets, or if they still have them that is.

Can still walk-in and buy the ticket on the spot at the stadium there right?
Lazy and its a hassle to go to ticketpro outlets to buy.

Yes the original works nice with sweaty hands.
I have sweaty hands too. However, it doesn't really last too long... sweaty hands or not. Wilson Pro Overgrip lasts way longer.

Cyberblue is RM50-RM60 now. smile.gif
Using it as my main poly.

Definitely better than Luxilon lol... and also because of the price.

For the life of me, I distinctly remember this string could be found for RM35-45, can't exactly remember the price, but if RM50 includes stringing, then thumbup.gif (all is well)

Blackcode is highly recommended for old fogeys like me, and I would say for people who use extremely stiff rackets ie Babolat.
*
Yea well RM50 including stringing, it ain't too bad of a choice.
It's dubbed the poor-man's Luxilon anyways. lol...

I'm skeptical about blackcode, they don't hold tension too well. Or it may just be me.

Hope they bring in the TFight 295 VO2 Max.
Need a volley stick, as the PDRGT isn't extremely good at the net.

What volley stick do you have in mind now SSJBen?

TFight 295.
Looks very good to me atleast.

Now a days, there doesn't seem to be that many racquets especially made for volleying though.
The TFight 295 does fit the volley bracket pretty nicely, but it isn't talked much about. Don't know why...

QUOTE(Yan @ Oct 5 2009, 09:40 AM)
hope they bring in ?? it was there at the atp show (tecni booth). so i'm sure it'll be in their line up.
is that gonna be your new volley stick or you got others in your list ?
wanna sell me ur pdrgt then ?hehehe
*
Eh?
Maybe I'm mistaken then. Because what I saw was the TFlash 290 instead, thats the 100 sq.inch version.
But the price.... heh.

Not many others in my list, but still need to wait and see the Pure Storm GT Ltd. first. The other day I was asking David from Topper, he said probably only bringing in the normal Pure Storm GT and Tour version only. No idea on the Ltd. He says RSH may not bring in. So... you got any news on that?

PDRGT how can sell? laugh.gif
Why suddenly need anotehr PDRGT?

Hi,
I was just curious on your statement regarding 'volleying' rackets, I was wondering in your opinion what constitutes a good volleying racket?

I'd like to hear anyone views, not just SSJBen's, as I was thinking some people would assume a head light racket for easy maneuverability for fast reaction volleys, some may prefer a balanced racket and some may prefer a head heavy racket like myself.

I was reading some excellent reviews regarding the new Pure Storm GT and Tour version, do you know the price's of the racket? I may like to try some Babolat rackets in the near future, as I am not so knowledgeable in their rackets, I have tried only the Aero pro drive and Aero pro drive cortex, and maybe the old Pure drive other than that, nothing else. I have always been a Wilson man after the demise of all my Pro Staff's.
*
For me atleast, a good volleying racquet needs to be rather head light and it shouldn't be extremely stiff as well as too flexible.
What is more critical to me is the stiffness though, depending on the material the racquet is built with... on a average, I wouldn't want a racquet being having a rating of more than 68 in stiffness.
However, it shouldn't be too flexible until it is in the low 60's as well.

It does depend on the material I think, because for like example the Babolat PDRGT is rated at a whopping 72. But it only does feel like it is around the 65 area, not as stiff as a K6.1 90 either despite it being rated lower even.

No known prices but, but estimating around the RM480-RM550 mark after discount.
Do know that the Pure Storm line is always cheaper than the Pure Drive and Aero line racquets though.

Because in Babolat's marketing strategy, the Pure Storm line is marketed at the mainstream club level players with 4.0-5.0 ratings (of course it isn't to say it is accurate lol).

Added on October 5, 2009, 3:56 pmOn a side note, anyone knows where to get some Tourna Original overgrips? Thanks in advance! notworthy.gif

yup can't wait for the new releases... haha.. heard the APDCgt will be revealed somewhere after the aussie open .. but some said around April (according to local shop sources). I wanna collect all 3 GTs. APDCgt, PDRGT and the PSGT. wondering the one gonzales smash is a PS GT  or the older PS ?

any leak pictures on the new 2010 releases? hehehe
*
Old Pure Storm with the PSGT paintjob.
He hasn't made the transition to the PSGT yet because according to him, he doesn't yet have the time to really get used to the new racquet.

The same thing said by Roddick, which is why he didn't move to the PDRGT+ during Wimbledon. Only in Cincinati Open and then in US Open.

Yea quite interested in the APDC GT also, wonder if Nadal would finally change his racquets or not (heck he hasn't changed his strings for his entire life lol).

Haha thats the only problem with the blackcode.
It doesn't hold tension well as compared to the cyberblue which surprisingly holds tension really well for a poly.

So if you need the added spin but don't mind stringing often go blackcode.
If you can do with slightly less spin but want tension to hold, cyberblue is a slightly better choice I'd say.
