how do htpc output audio via hdmi? i have a denon 2309 and i want to build one htpc where i can output uncompress audio. can i bitstream the audio to the avr? rclxub.gif

attentional,

If u r looking to bitstream lossless audio, then you need to get an Asus Xonar 1.3 HDAV card. This card will take the HDMI out from the graphics card and merge the audio and HDMI out the combined signal...

You just need the device driver. Once installed set the default to the HDMI audio device in Audio settings.

 

Change to:
| Lo-Fi Version
0.0140sec    0.76    5 queries    GZIP Disabled
