If I bought an iPhone 3GS 16GB in UK and unlock it with some software which can be downloaded free
(not from some official sites that provide such service), such as purplera1n,
so that I can use it in other countires, such as Malaysia,
would it be possible to restore it to default (factory) settings (just in case I need to claim the warranty)?
By the way, will the unlocked iPhone 3GS be locked after installing software updates from Apple? If so, is it possible to unlock it again after that (with the free downloaded software mentioned above)?
