I agree with Neo...Steel counters still not performing....Did not cheong at all. I am eyeing MASTEEL, even though Technical Analysis from CIMB says to sell.
JT Inter - Q2 results out on 19th August. This morning on radio I heard DRBHicom in talks with GM. Perhaps a likely buyout for some of the GM stakes here in Asia?? |

QUOTE(panasonic88 @ Aug 11 2009, 09:46 AM) oh that's today news Oh thanks..news ady....Bukan rumour lagi....Maybe become a "Trumour"... Media Prima to take NSTP private CODE Media Prima Bhd is believed to have proposed to take the New Straits Times Press (Malaysia) Bhd (NSTP) private via a share swap exercise that will consolidate the former as the most powerful media group in the country. It is learnt that the NSTP board, in a meeting late last week, had approved in principle a proposal to exchange each share of the company for one Media Prima share. Media Prima is NSTP’s biggest shareholder with 43.3% stake, followed by EPF with 10.5% and Kumpulan Wang Persaraan with 2.7%. The largest shareholder in Media Prima is Gabungan Kesturi Sdb Bhd, a company that is owned by UMNO. (Financial Daily) The quote does not confirm anything yet..."Believed to have" and "learnt that" are non-committal phrases |

Aiya....all my counters red....except BJToTo....
Sealink can keep for those who have it. There's future in this company, except I sold mine early on. Needed cash elsewhere and this was the counter that was up for me that time... |

QUOTE(jasontoh @ Aug 11 2009, 10:18 AM) Exactly my sentiments!....My target price. But maybe at the end didn follow and sell at TP. If economics point to better future for SapCres and OnG related counters when the TP hit, may hold longer Like yesterday, i decided not to follow my TP for Tanjong and lots of advise came in not to dump in. Eventhough it drop further today, I am still ok with it. Heheheh... |

QUOTE(SKY 1809 @ Aug 11 2009, 10:28 AM) Many brokers replaced TP with "Fair market Price", so that in a way, But really, the "Fair Market Price" or "Target Price", whichever we use, will differ bewteen investment banks and brokerage houses.you know whether your stock is still under or overvalued. TP does give people a sense of false hope that soon or later the share would reach this price. Different banks will be give different valuations so sometimes one person may read three different reports giving three different market prices for the same counter. For me I would be comfortable with the price I set for the company to reach based on my own analysis and what I gather from the research reports and forum discussions. |

Actually Maybank is not that bad a company.
It has largest Market Cap, GLC. It gave good dividends. The thing is that they made a boo-boo with that Indonesian bank fiasco. I believe that has already been written off, and judging by the reports from large banks like Commerz and PBBank and smaller banks like AMMB, Maybank should report some good earnings last quarter and probably announce some yummy dividends...Hehehe I also got Maybank...at 4.50 one...hehehe... |
