nah, it's not PwP. it is actually member pricing.
some shortcomings of bdp-s380: 1) power cord is not detachable! 2) resume is koyak lah. i stopped it, then press play but start from beginning? i did not turn off the unit to test the resume. 3) no 5.1 analog out. 4) no dedicated navigation buttons on the unit. 5) no divx support 6) could be faster load time items 3 to 5 i knew already. the power cord and resume thingies i was caught off-guard. but for rm299, i am nitpicking loh. the picture is great, plugging direct to my optoma projector via hdmi. wps |

wow, 2 units? plan to sale them later?
last night, i finally sat down to watch some blu-ray clips from sony bdp-s380. i am quite satisfied with the picture quality. some of the shortcomings i listed earlier are less annoying now. the resume to seems to work if i don't turn off the unit. cheers, wps |

QUOTE(wiNd @ Dec 8 2011, 10:09 AM) yeah i know there is a quick start option. what i am looking for is to resume where i stop playing the BD, AFTER i turn off the unit. is there a way to do it?btw, the quick start will consume more energy. wps |

QUOTE(anfieldude @ Dec 8 2011, 11:46 AM) Discs with Java will not resume. This is normal for all players. really? how to check if gamma is an issue? my untrained eyes cannot detect any issue lah. does it depends on the TV/projector? i am using an old optoma hd80.Also, if anyone in Penang has a S380 and wants to get their set calibrated pls contact me. I need to verify that the S380 does not mess the gamma up. US/UK versions mess up the gamma. This will be a special price as I want to confirm that the S380 is ok since a lot of people are buying it and shd be aware if it messes the gamma. thanks, wps |
