Talking about region free blu-ray players (including media player that got built in bly-ray drive), except Oppo and Dune, there are also some "cheap"** players in Hong Kong, why nobody bring those products to Malaysia? tongue.gif

** Compared to current selling price of some blu-ray players and media player with built in blu-ray drive.

Hanged for how long? Panasonic BD60 used to randomly hanged for 1 to 2 seconds. But this problem already solved in previous firmware update.

Today's deal of the day for Amazon US is Panasonic DMP-BD45 Ultrafast-Booting Blu-ray Disc Player (Black) for only $99.99 tongue.gif

Don't forget this is US BD player so you need transformer.

Although not so attractive compare to last time BD60 with same price... tongue.gif

Panasonic DMP BD60

Sorry if this is posted already, anybody figure out how to switch of the Network connection for the above, so when you put a BD in, it deosn't try to access the online services for the said disc?

Please advice

Thank you
*
Yap! Don't plug in network cable. As long as you do that, 99% of BD will not try to access BD Live function. So far, I only encountered 1 example when I need to prohibit this player to access internet in order to play the BD. What title is that BD... hmm.gif I think is UK's Robin Hood (Steelbook).

BD60 can prohibit this player connect to internet, but I forget how to set that... sweat.gif

Those with others region locked blu-ray titles should go and try it out. At least prove to the salesman that they're wrong if it can't play. Maybe they don't have a chance to come across those region locked blu-ray titles besides the 'Uncle Ho' blu-ray. smile.gif

Hong Kong actually do have region free BD player with brands that I never heard before. Actually I did mentioned more than 1 year ago regarding those region free player in this forum but forget which thread. Long before elife bring in Dune in Malaysia. tongue.gif

But don't expect those Hong Kong region free player have top class PQ. tongue.gif

For UV, if not mistaken, internet is a must since the movie is store in cloud.

Can register through PC.

Should not have region problem for UV copy.

I'd prefer Sony as Sony is the main boss in BD industry. Least BD compatibility issue.

I don't think is compatibility issue, I think is ahem issue. Original BD discs should not have any issue in playing in any brand of Blu-ray players. Only problem is ahem disc that I believe have problem on build quality.
