QUOTE(sKyWiR3pT3lTd @ Mar 28 2010, 08:18 PM) " 60 frames per second is the video display rate on most TVs. Since 60/24 is not an integer number, there is a motion artifact associate with going from 24 to 60 frames per second. Since they usually show one frame twice and the next frame 3 times (and repeat). People would prefer to have 24 fps output to avoid this artifact. The 24 can be multiplied to 48, 96 or even 120 without adding such artifacts" Bro, i still dont get what u are trying to explain, my question is what is the main different between 1080p/60p n 1080p/60hz.

QUOTE(sKyWiR3pT3lTd @ Mar 29 2010, 01:02 AM) Sorry gone . Actually, 60hz refresh rate represents complete reconstruction of the screen image 60 times every second. The two frame rates are 24p (for movies) and 30p (progressive 60i scan for native progressive displays). 60p represents 60 frames per seconds. 1080p/60hz : outputs a signal from your tele. That's an explanation..... I get u now. thanks :

QUOTE(AVFAN @ Sep 25 2014, 06:15 PM) connection is player-hdmi-avr? avr shud auto detect if the bd disc contain hd audio tracks. sometimes, if the disc has multiple audio tracks, u need to select the right audio at the disc-menu-audio options. anyway, like to ask if anyone has tried playing 4k bd on normal bd player, normal avr? normal tv gives no 4k effect, i suppose? My the other sony player without 3d no problem. Is it bcos my avr dont support 3d.

QUOTE(AVFAN @ Sep 25 2014, 07:06 PM) If u want to play 3d, the player, disk, avr n TV must be all 3d. 3d disc usually have 2d option, u can choose if yr avr n TV r not 3d. Bro.my player is 3d n tv also is 3d but my avr is not 3d compatible but why i cant get the true hd n master dts sound no matter how i set the avr show multi channel direct but when i use the player without 3d the avr will show master hd n true hd. Question, i suspect the avr is without 3d might be the culprit. I cant get master hd or true hd even i play normal blu ray disc with the 3d player This post has been edited by Dickong: Sep 25 2014, 09:40 PM

QUOTE(AVFAN @ Sep 26 2014, 12:02 AM) the player audio output options shud b in settings when u turn on the player. set it to pass thru. i took a quick look at yr player specs, shud be ok, alto discontinued model. if 3d player but not the avr n TV, try to play 3d, a message will pop up, can't play at all. revert to 2d on disc menu or change to 2d disc, it plays, avr auto detect hd audio, can go to disc audio options to choose other audio tracks. Thanks bro.will try it this evening n see whether it works.

QUOTE(dirtrun @ Sep 26 2014, 11:40 AM) Sori, If I am repeatin.. but wat avr is it? N when u say u cant get dts hd ma/dolby tru hd , wat does tat mean? Is it de on scrn on avr doesnt show ? Or at de bdp scrn? If judging by de sound from spkrs, there is very little diff [ of cos, othrs will beg to differ ] between lossy n lossless 5.1.. BTW, u can stil work tis [3d] by connectin one hdmi to ur display n othr hdmi [or digital/optical] cbl to avr for odo.. D I am using denon avr n on screen at avr show multi channel direct but on tv screen show dts hd master. My player got only one hdmi out n forgot whether got optical. Will check this evening, thanks bro.

QUOTE(dirtrun @ Sep 26 2014, 01:28 PM) Denon wif hdmi? Older avrs only hv component/s-video n optical/digital.. Even wif de hdmi.. only de latest can play 3D [ n soon tis would be superceded by atmos processing / 4k ..] Most ppl who hv hi-end older avrs buy a 2 hdmi-out bdp so they can bypass replacing de avr [flgshps are bloody exp n if its still workin great.. ] ; its a little bit more exp but hey .. a new hi-end avr would cost even more.. BTW ur bdp shld at least hv either a digital or optical connexion but tis will only let thru lossy odo - it tats any concern.. D You are right bro.my avr ( denon 1909 ) doesnt support 3d, i try by pass the hdmi cable direct to my 3d tv n plug in optical cable from bdp to avr n my avr can detect dts digital but not dts master n at the same time 3d also works on my tv. Meaning my avr is outdated aldy.

QUOTE(AVFAN @ Sep 26 2014, 05:44 PM) i just read up a bit on 4k upscaling, 4k pass thru, HDMI 2.0... and now this dolby atmos!! dolby atmos avr supposedly can take up to 64 speakers... hmm... $$$! so hard to catch up... my next move, will get a 4k player device and 4k tv first. enjoy the 4k video hdmi direct to tv, hv just the core dts/dd from avr. question really is... even 4k videos are rare, how many dolby atmos bd's/files are available? Is denon X2000 avr ok bcos i am having sammy curve 4k tv n now only can enjoy upscale from tv but have to wait for 4k player.
