the hottest is upper side of touch pad thr, any suggestion?
i already search a lot,
currently as i think ideal model is thermalpak pad, cm infinite, zalman nc2000

every1 comment pls~biggrin.gif

i am using CM Notepal U2. this model you can adjust the location of the fan, so you can put the fan at the hottest spot, which is below the touchpad.

If successful they'll send an email to you.
Me same case, press validate and no respond.
Send email to them but they reply automated answer to me - Buy a dell eligible win7 upgrade and go to this link for upgrade registration bla bla bla.

My guess is probably info keyed in is not correct? I wonder how nanogen did it?
Any guide from anyone?
*
i successfully registered, but also after few try. if it can success will be very fast. but if it hang after the validate, i guess the only thing u can do is try again later.

i chose dell bcos of the processor and overall specs
de processor is quite a big diff, check out benchmarks n u will see wat i mean
if u haf the $ n require tis kind of specs, then dell
14" / 15" would b up to ur preference.
mobility vs. workspace.
there's a dell shop in midvalley to test out dell stuffs.

if u go for dell,
other things u might consider
9 cells batt. -longer life n higher slanted typing, which i like, but +100/150g
backlit kb - jst too dem cool  wub.gif

about Dell vs Asus, i own studio1555 and one of my friend own asus K50. both spec very similar, but i have HD screen. performance is quite equal, but for build quality, i have to say that asus have better build quality, especially the "lcd lid" at asus K50 which is more solid. and for asus K50, the temperature of the laptop is very low, not sure why, compared to studio 1555, where the touchpad sometimes very hot.

but what asus K50 dont have is the HD screen, hdmi output, backlight keyboard...

Any help guys? I'm gonna make my decision and buy tomorrow.
*
for dell and asus, i will go for dell because of the full HD lcd. its hard to find 15 inch laptop with full hd feature. but asus definitely have better build quality. its best that you go to some pc store to really "look" at both model. then only u choose.

tph84: Hi, Thanks for advising, but i "look" soooo many times already. Haha look until frustrated already.

Another question is, how come the Dell Online purchase is more expensive then retail stores? Isnt't it supposed to be cheaper? Is it more recommendable to buy it online or at a retailer?
*
hey, i buy direct from dell also, but i deal with the sales person directly. send email to them, give spec, and ask them quote a best price. and i got it a bit cheaper from dell website. you can ask them to call u, then you can talk to them. previously i deal with this guy: Daniel_Ong@dell.com. you can try email him if you want...

hey, do u all think that the part under touchpad is really hot if u didnt use a laptop cooler? i am thinking of installing a micro fan, inside that part, do u think is possible? the micro fan i am talking about is something like this: http://www.ferret.com.au/c/Switches-Plus-C...n-NKW32-n816051 anyone got source of where to get one of this? and any idea to get the 5V from the inside of this studio 1555?

and what is actually at that part? is it graphic card? or the heat is cause by the wifi?

btw, u r using notepal U2 right?
how is its performance in case of cooling gpu??
where u buy?
*
notepal u2 i buy from lowyat plaza. the performance is quite good, since you can adjust the fan location to the hottest area. at least you wont fell so hot at the touchpad there. but my laptop actually move around a lot, like at night, the laptop will be at my room, and working hour at office. so, bringing the laptop cooler around is not that convenience. i found this company called sunon, http://www.sunon.com/products/products_new.htm, they have super small size fan, the smallest one is 8x8x3mm (only 3mm thickness). and i am sure if i can get one, it can fit inside the studio1555. its either blow the air out or in, at least the air is moving. anyone know where can find this SUNON mighty mini fan?

hey..where did u find the sticker?

cause i got my upgrade for win7 a few days ago also...but i cant find the win7 sticker in it!!! T.T
*
if you didnt find the sticker where you find the cd key? the sticker should be stick on the cd's envelope. and dont misunderstand, the sticker we talk about here is the license sticker, not the window 7 logo sticker.

the upgrade kit reach after around 2 weeks from the date i successfully register the upgrade.

hi all, want to intro a small application that turn off your screen after u run this application. for some laptop, there is key to turn off the screen, but for studio 1555, you cant turn off the screen unless u close the lid. so, try out this application:
