Hi all,

Just want to get some public opinion.

1) Do you trust analyst reports? If half, half, maybe can state %?

2) Which research houses' reports do you think is trustworthy?

3) Any analyst or fund managers that you think are good?

4) What do you think is most lacking in research houses' reports?

Thanks!

~butter,

1. As I have shared with you in the other thread, I do not trust their estimations or target prices. I do read analyst reports, but I am being only selective (extracting the summarised financial statements of companies and their cash flow information).

2. IF I were to read any analyst reports, I would go for Standard & Poors, followed by OSK Research and K&N Kenanga.

3. None of them is favoured by me.

4. Reliability. As these research houses were paid to write up on the public listed companies, their views may be biased sometimes. That is why I chose not to trust their estimations. I only need information which are transparent from their reports.

You mean that REALLY thick book with green and white cover, with the list of stocks inside? Yup, I know that book and I buy it (though not every quarter).
