Hi,

It seems that there are a few banks out there offering loans for ASB. The most significant one is from Maybank. There's also from CIMB. Not sure with other banks though.

Which do you think offers the best for the ASB loans. (rates, t&c, islamic or not, etc..)

Any experience??

Thanks in advance.. happy.gif

i recommend u not to take any ASB loans offered from any banks as the profit ratio are lower compared to the other methods...as i studied on this, i found that the conventional method has the highest profit ratio (amount of profit / amount of RM invested)...

this just the theory only. based on my studies on actual samples. besides, i want to invest in this next few months also...

Hi,

thanks for the recommendation..

when comparing.. do you mean.. instead of paying off the loan.. for e.g. RM300 a month.. for 20 years.. for a RM 50K loan..

it is better to buy ASB worth RM300 a month.. for 20 years??

for term loan under ASB, interest rate yang terbaru bagi CIMB seperti berikut:-

1st-2nd year = 3.75% fixed
3rd year onwards = BLR minus 1.76%, i.e. 3.79% @ current BLR of 5.55%
Lock in period = 3 years
Insurance = optional
Margin of finance = 100%

For RHB Bank
1st -3rd year =3.8% fixed
4th to 6th years = BLR minus 1.5%
7th years onwards = BLR minus 1.6%
Lock in period = 5 years
Margin of finance = 100%
on top of that, u get a free travelling bag(some branch give Casio watch), and have a chance to participate in lucky draw to win a trip to London.

SIMPLE calculation, cost of borrowing is 3.75% to 3.8% based on the current BLR, the ASB historical annual dividen + bonus for the last 20 years were around 9%, Note that u dont have to come up with any initial money, commercial bank loan u to invest in ASB, u just need to serve monthly instalment based on the 3.75%p.a. interest, at the end of the loan tenor u get the principal loan amount from the commercial bank that invested for u + (the difference between ASB dividen minus cost of borrowing)

so u can judge by yourself whether is viable to borrow to invest in ASB????
