no, i5 uses socket-1156 while i7 (Bloomsfield) uses 1366.

gosp~! cant wipe finish my saliva from my mouth. suddenly thinking of getting asus max III formular and i7-860 instead of i7-920.

no no~! the highest end deluxe is slightly cheaper than the cheapest X58 out there.

wow, the way u say tat, also makes me doubt whether i should go for P55 or X58.

looking at the price of i7-860, i think i will stick to i7-920.

those are juz verifications, so the user might be on LN2, so plz don hav the mindset that its a sure thing to get 5GHz from the new i5.

after thinking about saving only 2 hundred bucks juz for slight decrease in performance, i think i rather fill up those few hundred and get a more solid i7-920, for the 2-way x16 PCI-E.

ya but now i kinda miss the i7-860's OC capability. and also i love the color theme of those plentiful P55 cards. LOL!

X58 got a revision? hmm... i didn hear that, i'm just anxious to see Sata 6Gbps and USB3.0 on X58 boards.

but hope they don come that fast, maybe next year after i get my bonus lulz. coz my P6T will come tml.

yes, high ddr3 frequency on P55, but the latency is too lose, not my style.

i still prefer tighter latency.
