I am a member from LNG dance club at New Era College. My dance club is having an event on 27 & 28 of August 2009.
My club need to find more sponsorship to support our event.
May I know how and where I can find sponsorship?
I will really appreciate your help.

first of all u have to know who are the people that will be attending your event and also what your event is all about
since you are from a college... general audience are students

which sponsor to look for..?
first of all your dance group probably need dance music/dj/pa equipments... so u should look for sponsor for DJ/PA equipment etc

maybe u will have costume , so looking into taylors

if u have event, maybe u have foods/drinks ... then u look for food caterer(*does this word exist*) .

keep in mind that when looking for sponsorship , u have to tell the sponsor what they will gain if they sponsor your event ... to them .. it's advertising .. if they don't get any benefit , they won't sponsor ...

erm ... what else? any general students needs? like bookstores (* advertising in event's book etc*) .. this all should be cash sponsors.
oh yea, printing company to print your fliers....sponsor can mean . cheaper printing in exchange of advertising in the event's book ..


main point of sponsor is " WHY SHOULD I SPONSOR YOUR EVENT AND WHAT DO I GET IN RETURN?"

Isnt that all sponsor just want to advertise their company.
Then we can get sponsorship?
For me, that advertising in some place is just dont really affect their company. I mean big company. And why would want to advertise in our school? I mean there will be a better place for them, I think.

Just some question from my mind. Correct me if I am wrong.


By the way, what u mean event's book?

u need make proposal about u event .. easy to sponsor understand abou tu event

they have their main stream advertising ..
this are like "charity" sponsor advertising ...
sponsors can be in term of cash/product/services etc

event's book = programme book = every event should have one

why would they want to advertise in your school? well if they are supplying services/item/books/etc to students .. obviously they want to advertise in school level.

why would a big company want to sponsor you ? well if they really want to sponsor you .. what ever arguement doesn't really matter already..... the question here is how u want to get them to sponsor you...
so as previous post said, create up a good proposal on why they should sponsor you ... even if the field are not related but if you show them a good proposal , i am sure they will figure out the benefits out your event

well.. doesnt matter with big or small company. if you have a good proposal, they will sponsor u.

make sure you list out every benefits for them. exp: where their advertisement will place, giving out sample?.....

and 1 thing good about big company. they actually have the sponsorships department.

How about spotlight and sound . Anyone know where I can find sponsor for that?
I am thinking that they can advertise like the cinema did for THX.
Is this idea works? Do sound and spotlight always in a company? They are not separate in sponsor, right?
Can introduce some ?

i am a government servant from NatioNal Art Gallery. Im incharge for event. Can i need ur help about what are the benefits that we can offer to a sponsor? For example usually we will give tax exemption to that particular sponsor.. Really needs ur ideas...TQ
