Again, I believe SOME of mobiles owner has BEEN THERE BEFORE...
Are you the lucky one?
It's very "BIASA D" common nowadays to hear about people losing their
cellphones . Some user lost through crowded place and some were stolen
either in their homes, cars, buses trains and left in the toilet...
Again I've been there, in fact I lost almost 8 HPs starting 2003...
QUIET A RECORD haaa?~~~
OK STOP talk about myself... here are some guides / tips that I like to share
with you in case you having the situation of "[B]HANDPHONE BREAK UP WITH YOU "
at least you know what to do and respond...
Whose know nowadays when your cellphone goes to RIGHT or WRONG "HAND" ?
RIGHT "HAND" Good thing Happen
Wrong "HAND" anything can "Happen"
0.Whatever you do BACK-UP 1ST
Your Precious Contact No & Photo Images
Always have the Phone Numbers and DATAs in your hand phone copied at
another place - Your notebook or PC. For my case - PC and Diary.
Until today, I still having dificulty trying to contact certain people. Sadcase
Whenever I receive an sms without the names but just phone numbers... I have
ask WHO dis?? which is NOT A GOOD THING if you are business people
or to someone important to you...
1. Use a loud and piercing ringtone
For some people, the most likely place to lose a phone is at home. When that
happens, it helps to give yourself a call and then listen very carefully. This tip
works best when your phone is not on silent or vibrate mode.
2. Call your "Honey" Mobile phone
That's the first thing most people do. Who knows, a good person may answer
the phone. Alternatively, if no one's answering, send your mobile an SMS .
Whoever picks up the phone would be greeted with your SMS message.
3. Call your "Tai Ko"operator
In any case, it's always wise to deactivate your SIM card if you lose it.
Simply notify your operator about your lost handphone, and the connection will
be terminated immediately.
4. Retrace your steps
When and where did you last use your phone? Ask security as someone may
have retrieved your handset and left it at the lost-and-found counter.
5. Phone Labels Stickers
Write your contact details on a small piece of sticker and stick it onto
your phone. At least the finder will know how to return the handset even if the
battery's low.
(As Suggestion laaaa Try add "REWARD $000 if Return this Phone... more
motivate people return your phone. I know no user will do this "NOT COOL"
ma... Anyway just Suggesting only... don't scold me)
6. Leave in-phone messages
Offer a reward in your welcome message. Or compose a story and store it
into your mobile as phonebook entries. For instance, with Nokia phones you
can add the following lines:
"ä HELP"
"ä Found this phone?"
"ä Call (Your No)"
"ä to return."
"ä S$100.000 reward WAHHHH!!." if you really love the phone and rich la...
The "ä" and space characters ensure these messages stay at the top of the
contact list and in the correct order. For most phone is able to do this.
7. Use a edited background Picture
* Not much peoples would do this actually, most of users prefer put their 'CUTE"
or "Half naked 18SG" Picture : JESUS!!!
If you are using one of those new-fangled phones with customizable backgrounds,
here's your chance to tug at those heartstrings. With the Sony Ericsson G900, for
instance, you can put up your own picture along with a plea for the phone to be
returned .
8. Always be careful n caution when you are in a crowded place.
Make sure that your handphone or wallet are kept safely , if possible in a
fully-buttoned pocket. DON't EVER think that it won't happen to you...
it happened to me 8 TIMES stupid me... so it can happen to you too,
especially if you look like that person not used to public transport or 'LUCK"
not so good...
9. Lock your SIM card
You can set a PIN for your SIM card and help protect it from misuse.
However, this may mean you won't be able to call your own mobile, so it's better
used with a phone label (see Tip #5).
10. Lock your phone
By setting a number lock for your phone, you can prevent it from unauthorized
use. This will discourage would-be cases of "finders keepers", ensuring a
higher chance of recovery. Like Tip #9, it's better to use this with a phone label.

OK thats all, I hope these tips may help you to encounter the misfortune situations
and always remember, COOL DOWN, DON'T PANIC 1st , think of me
