Can u check whether at step 5, the software setup the dialling from the wireless laptop?

Since you already setup the username & password in the router, the laptop is supposedly just connect to the wireless AP/router, instead of having to go through the Streamyx CD...Provided the wireless is set to be enable.

If it's the wifi modem from Wifi@home package, follow these steps:

1. Plug in all the cable and phone line properly.

2. Open ur browser, type 192.168.1.1. Login to the modem with tmuser as the username and password.

3. Then fill in ur streamyx login name with yourusername@streamyx, and ur password. Then save all the setting.

4. Wait for 2 minutes and close the browser.

5. Off and on ur wifi modem, wait until the DSL light stable.

Done.

After several attempts, repeat and repeat then the wifi modem is ready for browsing website ord. Until now Im not sure if it is this the problem of this wifi modem or ...
Well, I think this wifi modem got some problem, and I dont like it, If u hv budget u can consider buy urself a new modem.

* Pls make sure repeat what I mention and remember to switch on and off again after u save the settings in ur modem.

Hi! Just subscribed to this package - RM60 during the last PC Fair. Got stuck with no.3 a couple of times. Resolved after calling the TM iCare line. So far so good since I am light internet user.
BTW for no. 2, can we change the password to login to the modem? I am sharing this wifi with my kids and I don't want them to access to the wifi - although there's not much things they can change. TIA.

You just need to setup a wep or wpa password for your wifi so they cannot connect and use.

Thanks. It works. Now I can see more options to playaround. I suppose I can always press the reset button in case I messed up. Thanks again.
