Halo all, i'm d so-called stupid owner... Sry if my story hurt u guys here... Still in learning progress...

Wanna ask 1 thing, why my baby hamster (2 hamster, now alrdy 7 weeks old) bigger than the mom and dad? Now they're the biggest in the cage... Is it normal? They're both active & playful...

another question, when my hamster pregnant, i isolate her to another cage so when she beranak, no need to move 'em anymore... i tutup the cage wif kain (60% only, not all) and only come to the cage when wanna refill food & water...

is it normal if not all the babies survived... like last time, from 5 babies, only 2 survived... 2 days ago she beranak got 6 babies, last nite when wanna refill food, only 5 left, 1 died... so kesian 1... but i dunno wat else to do... guide from the internet telling to not to disturb, juz leave it like that...

am i doing the rite thing? is it normal if the babies died?

and i dun change the bedding until the babies r big enuf (4 - 5 weeks)...

the injured hamster now look quite healthy alrdy, this morning i see he alrdy become monkey (hanging on the cage's ceiling) which he normally do b4 injured... the flesh opening also dried-up alrdy, thx to minyak gamat... but need to wait for total recovery b4 bathe him up bcoz his body full of minyak gamat, hehehehe...

edit: b4 this i dunno that we cannot bathe the hamster, me & my wife bagi mandi every weekend... and they look enjoy playing in the basin... hehehehe... from now on.. no more mandi unless got situation like the injured hamster...

New tank for my injured hamster (now alrdy sihat sejahtera) & 2 females (8 weeks old baby from 1st batch parents)

Got another cage of female hamster & her 6 days old babies (all 5 of them), i didnt take pic, takut the mother marah me... My wife refill her fruits/vege also kena marah 1...

tonite will go to animal kingdom wif my wife, looking for bigger wheel since some site recommend at least 11" diameter, last time i jumpa 1 feet punya wheel...

tomorrow gonna split 'em, not much time today because bring my kids jalan2 the whole day, my wife also too tired to cont arranging the cages (she's now 7 months pregnant)... tomoro will cont, now got 3 extra cages laying on the floor...

but wanna ask, if the tank 1, i juz leave them 3 stay there, will got prob or not? because to let only 1 hamster inside it, look too big... wasting area.. the females r adik beradik 1...

Added on July 30, 2011, 7:39 pm1 more question, i'm gonna buy more small glass tanks... i found a cheap small glass tank, 8" x 12" if i'm not mistaken, for RM15 each (at fish pet shop)... is it good for keeping single hamster inside?

if ok, i wanna buy 1 for each hamster, can susun the glass tank side by side, will save more space to keep them...

Wahahahhaa... I've found this 11" wheel for my hamster, got it for RM19.90, this 1 i think gud rite, wont give out prob to d legs since it doesnt has thru-hole between the bars...

I'm from kuching, the pet shop name is Animal Kingdom, i cant find any shop bigger than dis 1, mayb got but i dunno coz i'm new in keeping pet...

The wheel look like thin cheap material, but when tested wif my finger, feel sturdy enuf.. Dunno yet, wait till my hamster overwork on it, hehehhe..

since some told me that my water tower (mushroom) is not suitable for syrian, only for dwarf... so i sangkut a water bottle using wire there...

budget limited this month, fasting month and raya coming soon... if i can at least spare RM100 for hamster, new glass tanks for each of 'em... hehehheeh

No la, the suction cup i buy seperately, RM1 for 4 pieces.. I juz put it there to hold the side, but i removed it alrdy, i juz realize that i dun need to put that since the dawai i use is thick enuf to hold it in place... I use the suction cup to hold the climbing grill instead...

no la.. the kuaci seldom refill 1... u see alot there... that because it was there since last week... the main food for 'em is cucumber & carrot... everyday refill.. hehehehe...

Aiyaaa.. Wrong diet alrdy, hehehehe... Thx for d info... B4 dis i giv half thumb size of carrot n cucumber each hamster...

She gave birth again today, got 8 babies.. So happy...

lol... that's y i love hamster... each has it's own personality... i remember the pet shop worker told me, their dwarf hamster start with juz a pair... 1 named Dancer and 1 named Flip

Dancer bcoz he like to stand up and do knee bend, look like dancing
Flip bcoz she like to flip

now the kids, they either flipper or dancer... hehehehe...

Some cases where the babies dun hav 1 eye, no ears.. Some will hav physical defect, some will hav low life span...

Last time my old hamster born wif less 1 leg, rear right missing... Dunno why... Mayb the pet shop sell the siblings to me... I juz asked for diff gender..
