erm depends on individual oh...

if mix BC and chipsi classic... for one hamster per cage and around one hand width tall... for me can last 2-3 weeks

if chipsi classic itself only can last around 10days...

if full BC... can last 3-4weeks...

it actually depends on the capacity of your cage as well... and the humidity surrounding...

anyway, usually the smell at the surrounding is the best judgment for me... smelly de...then I will change it

provide your WWs some bathing sand as well...they will like to roll inside there...

From time to time, check their belly...if you smell them smelly or see their belly getting yellow...then it's time to change the bedding de lo... see the amount of poo underneath the bedding as well...

So well...on forum it always say around 2 weeks+ should change bedding de...

But, for me, I always judge myself according to the condition inside the cage...no fix time to change bedding...

Toph also has the same thing... her eyes are less red than when she was younger...
and only recently the fur around her head is a bit off, if compared with her color in general...

oh my...today saw my pair WW fighting..the female very samseng..she jump into the male and bite his tail..untill bleed..huhu..sent to the vet..he's fine..currently seperating them..anyone can predict why this happens?they are together are about 1 month already..no fight...tiba2 fight..huhu

Even siblings (human) can fight without a reason.

So long no online, pc busted, sobsob. Currently hamster doing fine, though getting chubbier (good thing for me), but the prob is don't really run the wheel d, just go for a few spin, then out.

Sand I have to change usually a day or two. Cause I think she pee there (all the sand harden and change hue), and last time I put a lot of sand, hehe, let them enjoy, but now have to change at daily basis, put a lot lesser d.

hmm..i wish to put them back together..but..how?

uh...based on my observation..

another way to recognise the sex is(for dwarf only):

male = got yellow stain under belly

female = dont have any stain

look for the balls at the private part... it's really huge

confirm male for that 1 lol

clean 1 cage, put beddings in it...then put toph....and later on put toby...

toby is on heat right now, i thought so - because she has this certain-smelling-discharge... i've noticed that few times b4... but previously, whenever i tried and stroke Toby's back...she was never receptive...

jst now, put both of them in the newly cleaned tank...then...toph chased toby...smelling her bottom and sometimes licked a bit...
toby in the other hand...is busy exploring the new tank (eventhough i did not put any toys/hideouts in it)...

so, it was like..toby running here and there....toph tailing her... nothing happened... will toby always be not receptive like that?
or should i change the environment a bit? i separated them after 15minutes....

any ideas?

mow much might be the cost of getting those neccessary things like cag, food and all?

and which hamster breed is easy to take care and playful? or isit all the same?

1st if u really wan to get 2 hamsters,keep in mind dat they might fight,so it is better to hav another cage/tank as backup to separate them.
For tank,i got my 2ft guppy tank for RM28.Keep in mind dat if u use cage,high chance they will bite on the cage bar.Food u can get below RM30.Wheel for dwarf hamsters is around RM30 also if i'm not wrong,but syrian wheel will be more expensive or u can get used hamster wheel frm other ppl.Bedding if u wan to use breeder celect(recommend),it will cost around RM48 or cheaper for a big pack which can last for around 2 months.Remember to get water bottle and food dish for ur hamster too.Water bottle and food dish u can get below RM10.Toilet is optional,if u wanna potty train ur hamster,then get a toilet.If not also nvm.

For beginner,I'll recommend syrian hamster becos they are bigger so it wont escape dat easily when u handle it.But syrian only can be kept just 1 in a tank as they are solitary.Remember dat communality doesnt apply well for dwarf hamster too.

Do read up 1st page,there r alot of info there
