Hi people, ok so my WW is getting a little less feisty when I'm around.. Anyway... Just wanna ask if anyone can give a visual comparison of male and female WWs as I am starting to be doubtful over my hamster's gender.. The guy at the shop told me it's a male and lately it's been getting a lot fatter which got me thinking if I bought a pregnant female... From what info I can find online, the main determinant for a male dwarf is the scent gland at the belly right? How obvious is this? I don't really notice any and the two openings at the bottom seem quite close to me... Are there any differences in the fur perhaps? Thanks!

& after u sure the fat tummy 1 is female, better bring it to vet so the doctor can confirm wif u wether she really
pregnant or not.. Some hammies got overweight.

Haha.. actually that was the guideline I used earlier.. Anyway, after much inspection.. I think i can see that scent gland....I guess it's really been eating a lot lately then... Haha....

Haha, sometimes chubby hamster also cute ma, we (me) like it chubby. Cook curry also got more meat ma. Haha. jk jk

Just make sure you are feeding it right, and not all Kuachi (sunflower seed) only etc.

Try too look wether they have TELUR at the back or not..
If have that means they 2 are male, basically as early 3 weeks can see
the TELUR.

well, i was hoping for pics of real hamsters to compare la as the diagrams weren't helping much.. but i think its a male la as now i'm startign to see the scent gland at the belly.... i've kept it for a week and a half now and he was really hyperactive in the shop. which is why i thought it was not really possible for him to put on weight so fast... now he's kinda lazy, sleeping on his wheel and eating while lying down on his back only running around occasionally at night.... kinda cute actually.. will post pics when i can aite... haha...

For me, its quite hard to take pics of hammies sexing part, except it was Syrian coz the size..

If can, send to someone. Worst come to worst, u can leave a lot food and make sure the water is available.

I tried max for 3days to leave hermes at home without supervision.

Oh ya, this weekend i will go to PS, you wan anything?

Erm, thinking the same idea wif urs,, Provide lot of food & enuf water,
but still not confident bout it too coz 3 days usually quite long time.
& trying to adopt to someone awhile need to consider their time too.
