QUOTE(cheahcw2003 @ Jan 3 2010, 01:42 PM) i think it will be a long queue as everyone rush to update their passbook. Plus 1st day of the month, customers also go to bank to do other bank transactions. I'm going to the bank tomorrow ... QUOTE(pokeat @ Jan 3 2010, 02:04 PM) AFAIK, ASW2020 is for Non-Bumi. The last distribution was April 2009, and how to check the return percentage ? 6.3 % ? www.asnb.com.my. QUOTE(pokeat @ Jan 3 2010, 02:04 PM) How about if I plan to invest in my friend's acc ( bumi ), no black and white ? Trustworthy issue ? Please please please do not do this !!! He might be your best buddy but people change. People change all the time. Just put your money into FD for the time being and wait until more funds are allocated for ASM and ASW2020 again. |

Went to CIMB Bank. Was asked how much we'd like to withdraw. The receptionist told us they are running low on cash today, hence withdrawal for ASB has been limited to no more than RM10k per account holder today.
Was kind of surprised to be informed that they are running low on cash considering this is the largest CIMB Bank branch in the whole Sabah |

QUOTE(cheahcw2003 @ Jan 4 2010, 06:03 PM) why all those BUMI are withdrawing from ASB until cash shortage in the bank (damn Serious) while non bumi are busy depositing in AS1M....quota for chinese in AS1M is > 85% already. Just a note. No such problem at a rather new RHB Bank branch here in KK suburb. The branch was jam-packed too just now. They already gave out 45 numbers specially for ASB related transaction at 10.00am. |

QUOTE(cic.lemur @ Jan 14 2010, 09:26 AM) I think max for ASW only 50K No way. There is no limit for Bumiputra. Bumiputra can buy as much as they can afford as long as there are still units available. Up to December 2009, i was told that more than RM1 Billion of ASW2020 are still yet to be subscribed but that is strictly for Bumiputra only. QUOTE(jaws_bodo @ Jan 14 2010, 09:44 AM) anyone can clarify my doubt.....let say...if my asb is more than 200k(max is 200k)...after years of compound.....let just say...the new balance is 250k....is it true the next divident payment to me...they only count 200k for my balanced? Some say it is. Some say it's not. We do not have definite answer but you can try it out yourself |

QUOTE(darkknight81 @ Jan 29 2010, 02:54 PM) Loan also not using personal loan lar. Housing loan mar Neither is it a personal loan nor a housing loan. It is called ASB loan or ASB Financing and it works a bit like house mortgage as well. You can get it at either Maybank, CIMB Bank or RHB Bank. |

QUOTE(elru @ Feb 7 2010, 11:15 AM) does anyone knows what is the withdrawal limit for cash from ASW counter? RHB Bank = no limit(**as long as the particular branch have enough cash then they will give you RM1 Million of cash if you want but no idiot will carry that much cash around since like 2 - 3 decades ago) CIMB Bank = RM50,000/day/account Maybank = RM20,000/day/account Pos Office = RM10,000/day/account This post has been edited by MilesAndMore: Feb 7 2010, 05:23 PM |

QUOTE(joeaverage @ Feb 25 2010, 01:05 PM) i managed to get units for RM5k in april last yr. Exactly which fund are you referring to ? ASM ? ASW2020 or ASB ? Anyway, it would be reinvested as additional units.i understand divident was paid out recently- can someone please explain if it means that the dividend would merely be thr to be collected or it would be re-invested as additional units? if the latter- how would it work since there is no units left for non-bumis. |

QUOTE(joeaverage @ Feb 25 2010, 04:13 PM) ASM. Thanks! Btw, I was made to understand that dividend is paid out in Jan- but the teller informed me it is only in April. I think you have mixed it up with ASB. The dividend for ASM will be credited to your account in early April. QUOTE(joeaverage @ Feb 25 2010, 04:13 PM) I reckon that dividend is annouced in January and payout in April? Why do ppl rush to update in Jan then? or is this a different fund altogether? That one is for ASB. Yes. It is different. |

QUOTE(carjack18 @ Mar 16 2010, 11:59 AM) Hi guys, You can do it in ASNB office, Post Office or any of its agents such as Maybank, CIMB Bank and RHB Bank. If it involves a large amount of cash, please go to any of the three banks mentioned as there is no restriction for the amount of cash you can withdraw. Can I know if we buy from ASNB agent and when I want to sell, can I sell thru ASN Office or do I need to go back to the agent to sell? |

QUOTE(uNeVErwaLkaloNe @ Apr 12 2010, 10:33 AM) good to have principal, but i never make enemy with money. QUOTE(cheahcw2003 @ Apr 12 2010, 12:39 PM) yes i agree with you, ASW/ASM/AS1M, i always use it as a saving account where i can temporary book my fund while looking for other opportunity, the pay > 6% in average so it is good to temporary park your fund there. SO the benchmark is 6%, whatever investment lower than 6%, might well park it there. Agreed ! |
