Ejen enggan jual AS1M?

Oleh AINUL ASNIERA AHSAN
ainul.ahsan@utusan.com.my

As suspected, PNB is not a popular entity among the Private unit trust companies in Malaysia. Most of the banks are quite alarmed when the depositors start withdrawing their FD to put into AS1M.

you need to place the weblink on the website, usually the newspaper have the weblink. So that we would know the details b4 giving any comments.
Many banks are loosing tonnes of deposits/fixed deposits due to the recently launched As1M, especially the older ppl withdraw from the FD and deposit into AS1M, so some bankers are spreading the rumous......

Yes got one insurance agent wanted to promote their investment fund to me. He asked me where i put mostly my money, and I told him ASW and AS1M. When he heard this, immediately he no energy to promote already. The private mutual funds hate PNB.

Care to explain Why a DIVIDENT payout should be prorated for 6 months ???  shocking.gif
*
Because he says he wants to buy NOW. So it will only have another 6 months to the announcement of the dividend at the end of the financial year September 2010.

No need a few hundred lah. If your parents' property/ies are not so complex/complicate, just draw up one simple will, get two witness, get an administrator or two and you can even draft one out yourself. But if they have lots of properties/ more complicated than you think you can handle, then get a goot lawyer or will writer professionals to come up with one good solid will so as to save lots of pain in future. They can always change their will if they want to change their plan in the near furure.

I heard my friend says when he studied law in UK, some people in the past got write their will on the surface of a chicken egg and it was accepted by the court.... LOL

not really, for non bumi, u can only registered for AS1M, as ASM/ASW already fully sold out for non bumi quota. if u registre ASM/ASW, it will show "application rejected" status.

for bumi, u can register all the fixed price fund including ASB/ASW/ASD/AS1M. you will only know the "status" on the following day. So u cannot see the available unit "live" online.

How about the Pass Book AS1M? Do we need to go to the counter again to get it updated the next day?

Just top up another 4K.. hu hu.. not so much but at least got extra RM20 a month to spend assuming interest is 6.3%...

AS1M finished already. sad.gif

3pm 30/4/10 , confirmed by another relative also.

Now where am I going to put my savings now that AS1M is finished? Should I look at maybank's etiqa or Public Mutual, or keep in FD?

In your personal opinion, would it open the AS1M quota before the dividend paypout in 30 Sep 2010 ?
*
IMHO, normally any announcement will come weeks after the dividend payout if we look at the trend of ASW2020 and ASM. So, we should expect extra units of ASW2020 or AS1m to be announced in September 2010.

Well, we got 3 months to build our reserves. Cash is still king?

IMO, since Sukuk 1M don't have any charges when selling, maybe can put existing FD to it. Then if ASW/M issued, withdraw some Sukuk over to ASW/M. Thing is, will sell sukuk be a hassle on that day if were to sell it off in order to purchase ASW/M.  blush.gif

Agree... Never mislead without doing research..

I expect the dividend to be declared by the mid of September 2010.. Based on the record of the declaration of dividend by their side.. ^^

Added on August 23, 2010, 12:19 pmSeems like some of the people of the public were confused about AS1M; but i am acting as an neutral, but to show what i found:-

1) AS1M objective launched by the Prime Minister was to encourage the citizens to invest their money to increase their asset value..

2) AS1M was also intended to increase the income of the citizens, though not much, but it helps..

3) AS1M is investing in equities, and trust me, even for them to declare dividend of minimum of 6% is not difficult despite their consistent performance..

4) Some of the people think that the Government will use the money for their political policy, but from what i see, it was the intention of PM to increase the income.. Whilst, investment in equity funds by those expert fund managers might contribute more than 15% (conservative projection) returns, so nothing is impossible..

5) Their benchmark of 3.7% to 4% were actually as a conservative target for them to perform better than the benchmark, but many thought the return is low, hm.. next month will prove whether this statement is right or wrong..

6) Capital protection is true.. See PNB is listed in the Bank Negara Malaysia..

I thought in Sabah, when the father is non-bumi, their children will be considered non-bumi.
