Hello. smile.gif

First I need to say my english isn't the best, and I'm still learning, so please excuse any mispellings.

Yesterday I ordered a new laptop, Acer Timeline 5810. .
It will arrive on Thursday.

Today I did some research on Acer laptops, (I know I should've done that before I bought it, but a computer expert recommended Acer Timeline 5810 to me) but today when I did research on Acer laptops I read many bad things about them, I even found a Poll and Acer was voted ''Worst Laptop Brand'' and now I'm starting to get kinda nervous.
Because it was pretty expensive.

What do you think about Acer Aspire 5810? Anyone who have experience with it?

Thank you!

Kind of off-topic:

I noticed that theres a model called Acer Timeline 5810T
Is it the same as 5810? What's different about 5910T?

i thought all Timeline series end with a T with their model number???

there's Timeline 3810T and 4810T...

anyway, if it's really Timeline series, imho 15" is overkill...

Added on August 6, 2009, 9:58 ambtw, there's no 5810 listed in the Acer MY website...

Added on August 6, 2009, 9:59 ama look at Acer Australia, there is 5810T... basically a Timeline in 15.6" with C2S @ 2.4kg...

to be honest, i think it's even heavier than a Dell Studio 15...

Yup...its just for a bigger screen size but the weight is just the down-point for it...although the design is quite nice

*just bought Acer 3810T last night...truly the performance is impressive for a thin laptop laugh.gif

@astria, Acer MY not bringing 5810T into Malaysia. I guess there's no demand for it.

dun worry 'bout it. Timeline is the best choice.

where did u order Timeline 5810?

p/s: The naming part, actually there are 3 suffixes for Timeline: TZ (low-end), T (mid-range), TG (higher-range).

haven't seen TZ series here. T was first introduced. Lately, TG just intro-ed with switchable graphic power (ATI4330 & intel gma).

I gues Acer MY only bring in T first, then TG. No point bringing TZ because it's not competitive here.

I was told Acer wasn't a good brand back to 2 years before. Guess what? I own Acer 5920g and it still serve me well. I would say Acer might be poor in designing laptop (stylish, colour....). But the quality is still there.
