Expect 8 sen/quarter dividend to taper off soon?

never interested in Maxis, so, don't know

even if top and bottom lines remain the same the divvy is not sustainable

Dulu I pun Maxis...then recently switched to DiGi, even though DiGi coverage at my place quite bad.

U know why?

My girl uses RM99 geh phone...can throw and throw and throw and still working fine, not even hang once

Dulu my flip phone Samsung also...u know how I got it? Ppl drop it while clubbing, my bouncer uncle gave it to me. And then I kept dropping it over and over again...scratches and bumps aplenty, still working fine

No one denied that...but is it sustainable?

If pay 100% of earnings out as dividend, yes expect around 25 sen only.

At current price...25 sen is only 3.9% dividend yield. DiGi STILL better

Please bear in mind, Maxis has higher borrowings than DiGi. If dividends were to be cut, Maxis would cut first before DiGi had to.

If overall u still made gains...just dump when they cut divvy lor

It's more prudent to expect less than 100% payout policy to determine buy/hold/sell for stocks. It's not practical to expect DPS>EPS forever.

For DiGi, it's still an attractive hold if they pay 99% of earnings as dividends.

For Maxis, NO.

With dividend stocks, just see whether u are happy with the dividend yield.

the dividend has to be reduced...Maxis borrowings too high...they were basically borrowing money to pay shareholders dividends
