Hong Leong Investment Bank Research reiterates its 'hold' rating on Maxis Bhd shares, with the target price revised marginally to RM7.24 per share.
According to Hong Leong, it favours Maxis for the company's long term prospect under the new leadership.
'We believe the market will continue to favor the stocks as our investment thesis of improving prospects and leaner structure under new leadership is gaining traction among investors," says the investment bank in its report today.
Maxis financial year 2013 top line was largely supported by data, enterprise and home revenues offsetting the declining voice and SMS sales.
Mobile enterprise segment, which currently contribute about RM1 billion per year is seen as a longer term growth driver.
The telco is expect to make a strong comeback in prepaid segment leveraging on Hotlink and Hotlink 4G.
Hong Leong noted that blended smartphone penetration increase 3 percentage points to 56 per cent with 520,000 LTE-compliant handset users.

Compare to Digi, I think digi still grow due to the previous speculation on P1... but until now, Digi still sit high
