I saw this player below spec , will u buy .. worth ? price ~RM250 (market >500)


2nd Generation Mstar chipset . NO DTS.


Realtek 1073dd chipset best now in market , but price not cheap.

*Altenative Mstar 2nd generation (not the best one) blush.gif .. but can handle all rmvb,h264 ..

Output: 720p/1080p

-DTS

-Seek Time Function (so don't need fast/backward search movie scene)
-Subtitle can adjust color, size

but
-no WMV,VC-1,FLV
-no LAN
-HD only, no support old tv CRT.

For me, I worried about firmware update.. So right now mostly will do with htpc.. unless somebody release open source player.. Just like what linksys do with their router long time ago and it really take off..

I hope the casing outlook is nicer than most of the currently available made-in-china players. I really like how the WDTV and the soon to be available Asus OPlay players look. Also, remote in English!!

-only coaxial out.

Hope casing nice .. not yet see.

the egreat one is very nice, looks abit like the WDTV but is actually 2 pcs of folded brushed anodized black aluminium plates.. thumbup.gif

external USB upto 2TB (3.5' hdd) , 1TB (2.5hdd) should no problem.

hope end of August can get this.~
