must go ps3 recovery mode ... rebuild database

How to Access Playstation Recovery Menu:
1 Turn off Playstation 3 (standby)
2 Hold The power button until it goes in standby again
3 Repeat step 2 this time it will beep once for display setting change then it will follow with 2 beeps
4 when you hear the 2 beeps take finger off power button
5 you will be prompted to plug in your controller via usb and then hit the PS button
6. The Recovery menu will pop up.

I already did the recovery and lost my save games due to this problem. vmad.gif
After the recovery, I noticed that it was OK for a while. After leaving it to download some DLC and auto off. When power back ON this morning, then the symptom is back again.

It's confirmed to be hard disk corrupt problem after following the steps shown by shahreza2000

It's time to bring it to the SONY Center.

Sorry to hear that. If the hdd corrupted, most of the savegames will get corrupted.

Its good that its still under warranty.

I managed to recover the ps3 database after 2 times corruption message pops out during recovery mode.
I'm downloading a demo today and let it auto shutdown. If the hangs happens, I will take it to Sony Center to show to them and claim warranty.

Hope to get SLIM as replacement. JK tongue.gif

My PS3 M'sia 80 GB hard disk have been confirm to develop problem like bad sector etc because the backup fail when transferring data to external usb hard disk. Does SONY M'sia cover the hard disk for warranty claim?

Do we need to send the whole unit or just the hard disk to claim warranty?
