The resolution will go to maximum if you are using HDMI and have the PS Scaling on.
The aspect ratio will be stretched to 16:9 |

QUOTE(terion @ Nov 5 2009, 05:38 PM) having the same prob as econs here.. same TV model also There is another forumer who had this problem.but if i use a non braided cheepoo cable, i can see the xmb in 1080p but its full of static interference (will post pic later) however changing down 720p or 1080i solves this. *note: using ps3 slim. Turns out it was due to the crapload of AV equipment he had nearby (interference). He bought a Monster Gamelink from DigitalTech and his problem left him |

If buying more than 1.5m, buy better cable.
Cap ayam cable cannot run 1080p properly if the cable too long. Just ask terion and economist |

QUOTE(maskedchan @ Nov 7 2009, 08:14 PM) pity that person...that person so unlcuky... Some of them also got a lot of AV equipment, and everyone knows you need thicker cables if a lot of electronic interference but majority people in here no problem using cap ayam... QUOTE(TomatomanzSeedlezz @ Nov 7 2009, 08:29 PM) Afaik, the only obvious difference its just warranty. The picture and sound will be the same, as essentially, the HDMI signal is just 10101010101010101. If your bro lived in Aust, then its buy locally there, so that he'll be (warranty) covered. As imo SONY doesn't have international warranty. The last i heard and read from AV sites, they said theres actually no difference (visually) in getting a rm30 (china brand like Panther) and a rm300 ones (like Monster). In other words... they said those ppl buys MONSTER cables are totally being ripped off... So, i guess those having problem basically the cable its defective?.. Btw, how do i identify the HDMI's versions?... as those cheap ones doesn't state/written on it... Cheers But if you have a lot of equipment or a long cable, you'll need a HDMI cable with better build quality so the 1010101010101 does not get mixed up a bit on the way. If you only have basic HT setup, just get cap ayam. If more complex, or you need longer cable, buy those 'ripoff' brands |
