any audio quality lost?
*
Audio will become mono, not stereo.

So when you hear the speaker, both will have the same soundtrack coming out.

The resolution will go to maximum if you are using HDMI and have the PS Scaling on.

The aspect ratio will be stretched to 16:9

QUOTE(terion @ Nov 5 2009, 05:38 PM)
having the same prob as econs here.. same TV model also

but if i use a non braided cheepoo cable, i can see the xmb in 1080p but its full of static interference (will post pic later)

however changing down 720p or 1080i solves this.

*note: using ps3 slim.
*
There is another forumer who had this problem.

Turns out it was due to the crapload of AV equipment he had nearby (interference).

He bought a Monster Gamelink from DigitalTech and his problem left him smile.gif

If buying more than 1.5m, buy better cable.

Cap ayam cable cannot run 1080p properly if the cable too long.

Just ask terion and economist wink.gif

pity that person...that person so unlcuky...
but majority people in here no problem using cap ayam...

Some of them also got a lot of AV equipment, and everyone knows you need thicker cables if a lot of electronic interference wink.gif

Afaik, the only obvious difference its just warranty.

If your bro lived in Aust, then its buy locally there, so that he'll be (warranty) covered.

As imo SONY doesn't have international warranty.
The last i heard and read from AV sites, they said theres actually no difference (visually) in getting a rm30 (china brand like Panther) and a rm300 ones (like Monster).

In other words... they said those ppl buys MONSTER cables are totally being ripped off... tongue.gif... overpriced and works the same.

So, i guess those having problem basically the cable its defective?..

Btw, how do i identify the HDMI's versions?... as those cheap ones doesn't state/written on it...  rolleyes.gif

Cheers smile.gif

The picture and sound will be the same, as essentially, the HDMI signal is just 10101010101010101.

But if you have a lot of equipment or a long cable, you'll need a HDMI cable with better build quality so the 1010101010101 does not get mixed up a bit on the way.

If you only have basic HT setup, just get cap ayam. If more complex, or you need longer cable, buy those 'ripoff' brands icon_rolleyes.gif

How abt HDMI versions?.. how do i know what version izzit (as most cheaper ones doesn't states what version)?.. the latest its v1.3b rite?..

Or the versions doesn't matter?.. just get the cheapest ones will do?..

Thanks in advanced for those who replied.

Cheers smile.gif
