there is a bug in 3.0 , 3.0 fw will kill ur PS3 backward compatibility with ps2 games.................... oh wait a minu.... nevermind.

The main features in 3.0 that i like is "Audio can now be output to multiple connectors simultaneously."

few days before , had to use headphone , as my sons is sleeping in the same room. so , have to change the audio setting...with this new features , i can activate both headphone and speaker

Some Problem about PS3 DLC data, please help..

If 1 day, i delete my User Profile - (A) in ps3 & created a new 1 - (B). That means all my Save Game Data in (A) will gone right?

If so, all the DLC like LBP costume or downloaded level in (A) will gone too? How about those downloaded Ps3 game from psn, like fat princess, will it gone too after i delete (A) User ?

yes Profile A will be gone...

worst part, u can't play fat princess or any other dlc that u aldy downloaded using Profile A... error message will pop up...

delete a user profile means everything connected to the user profile will be gone.games and dlc still there but need to be activated by user profile that DLed it if want to play it.add on i not sure about.

icic , then very wasted loh , since i spend so much money buying games and dlc at PSN store. At the end , if i wanna sell off my ps3, New user cant play my downloaded game and add-on content.
(because i have to delete my profile to prevent next user using my psn account info to do something bad..)

For now , i only can think few way to solve this problem. Is to change the Sign-In ID Address to New User Email Address and set new password. The only bad thing is the New User have to use my PSN ID i ald registered.

2nd , is create 2 users in PS3 , (A) is to enjoy the downloaded game i loaded, For sure, i will Delete PSN Sign-in Address & tick off the Remember Password, Yet, (B) is for New User to do their own favorite thing.

Still got other better way ?

those games and dlc just need the user profile to activated it.no need the user profile or psn id connected to the user profile to be online for it to be played once it already activated.
say if u wanna sell ur ps3 to ur fren or family,dont delete ur user profile that DL all those games and dlc,just delete ur login and password and other stuff that related to psn network or store on that user profile so that the new owner cant login to psn using ur id but still can play those games and dlc using other user profile since the user profile that downloaded those games still there.

the good thing is, when u buy another ps3, just sign in with ur profile and u can redownload everythings back.
ermm.. i afraid that ur email address is tied with ur PSN id. so u cant change ur email. remember u sign-in to psn using email, not username.

Oh....i tot ps3 is like PC log-in as guest , everything will be gone. Same like , if i got everything in User (A) , then i log in into User (B) , everything in (B) is new , cant access to (A) thingy..cant share among each other..As you explain, means , what i have downloaded in User (A) , after i log-in into (B) , also can continue enjoy (A) downloaded games & DLC rite?

If so, next time i wanna sell my ps3 to other ppl, that means , New Owner have to keep my profile to play those previous downloaded game and himself have to create New User Profile to continue his favorite download thingy in PSN store

yup.what u trying to do is like everybody being doing long time already.they called it games sharing except u thinking of selling ur ps3 with all DL games and dlc.btw everything that been dl from PSN store is stored in HDD regardless of user profiles means any other profile can use it but in mind the user profile that DL it still exist(games and add on only)
even save data can be share amongst user profile but the exception of the save data not connected to any on9 server that use psn id
diff user profile on ps3 just mean new user profile only.it can play and use everything that are stored on the ps3 hdd.

Now i m bit blur after read u guys post, i know that DLC sharing only for 5 person, right ? How about i login my PSN at another PS3(call it B)?? I can re-download again the DLC which i sharing with other members??? Then my previous PS3(Call A), if i login using another PSN ID, i still can play DLC game in console A ???

yes. the point is 5 physical ps3, not limited to user accounts. other user on that ps3 can only play the game already existed in the ps3, they wont magically have those games tied to their account.


if a dlc is only tied to one user account, many ppl will get angry. because if you have many siblings, each one of them must purchase separately even if they use the same ps3

it is not 5 person but actually 5 ps3 console.any DLC such as games or addon that has been downloaded can be used by any user profile or psn id on that console as long as the original user profile that used to download it still exist.

Ok.. like this case, i got 2 PS3, 1 put at home n another put at office, i sharing all the dlc at my home first(Already sharing with another 4 ppl), then using the same PSN acc to login inside office's PS3, so if i found my all DLC is inside my download list, so i still can re-download it again ???

if you already shared with 4 other ppl, it counts as 5 ps3 already. you wont be able to download anything owned by the shared account on the 6th ps3.

Well I just registered my MY account finally...but only as backup..and just to register my account name. My main account is still my US ID and they of course accepted my card.
