Only my 80GB is dusty. My 60GB will never be dusty, because it is kept at bernard's shop I going to polish it in a while, though. Then, it will be shiny like new.

QUOTE(SSJBen @ Aug 30 2009, 06:04 PM) Ironically, one of those fellas is at Iraq.... I don't know if it is as hot here though. Iraq? I'm pretty sure they have 4 seasons. I think I'm wrong, though, as I always fail geography. There he should be more worried about bombs than weather, I guess

QUOTE(tanleeseng @ Aug 30 2009, 08:39 PM) Hmm ... Any recent Entropay users care to comment on this ? I don't dare to register an Entropay account unless someone can confirm that this still works on US PSN. Thanks. There was a recent thread on this somewhere on these boards.

Try turning it off and vacuuming the vents (low power). If got dust stuck, the heat might be trapped inside

If you got no HDTV, get the TV.
There are cheap Bravias, but you should consider buying the 40X300 units they are clearing at Sony 1U. RM7k is a lot of dough, but you get a really good display for that amount.

QUOTE(SSJBen @ Sep 2 2009, 05:57 PM) There are many tutorials out there on the web. Just so you know, different revisions has different placement of the screws and also different way of taking the entire system apart. Unless your warranty is long gone.... I opened my PS3 on the second day I bought it to check what the heck is inside. Hehe I also opened early on. However, I did it for $ as the 60GB not yet official launch yet (got it early), so i made an easy RM200 to void my warranty. I love retarded people with deep pockets

I know its a stupid question, but if I got the chance, should I get a PS3 Slim or a 360?
It is a very stupid question, but I can't decide between a Slim or a 360.
I want a Slim because it is something I have never opened, ever. On the other hand, I do not have a 360 and have a few games for it lying around.
Please help.
And before the inevitable starts... Flame shield=ON

QUOTE(panda-man @ Sep 3 2009, 09:26 PM) ps3 controllers are more ergonomic... to me anyways... and lighter. never really messed with a 360 before. but the rate at which i hear bad news about it kinda throws me off... up to you. all things aside... the ps3 does have a blu ray player. so if you are interested in movies, have a pretty good tv, and a decent sound system. get a ps3 I have 2 PS3s already. But the Slim is very tempting.

QUOTE(panda-man @ Sep 3 2009, 09:38 PM) ...then... i think the question you posed was one that should be flamed. haha... if you have 2 ps3s. then get a 360. simple decision. Thing is... I am trying to collect all the major hardware revisions, but I scared I buy 360, turn to jack sparrow QUOTE(shahreza2000 @ Sep 3 2009, 09:38 PM) up to u really... y u have few 360 games lying around? having new ps3 really abt showcasing new hardware.... as a collector The collector thing is exactly what is my problem. Maybe its an obsessive thing, but Slim really calling to me. The 360 games are from my old Zephyr (3ROD 9 times). All ori somemore.

QUOTE(SSJBen @ Sep 5 2009, 04:21 PM) Forget all those crappy Hauppauge, K-world, etc. They're useless, you'd barely be able to record in 720p. Get the Blackmagic Intensity: http://www.blackmagic-design.com/products/intensity/Very pricey yes, $199 USD. But if you really want HD quality capture, this is it. +1 Intensity is awesome. I bought a Decklink HD Extreme and its great. Blackmagic has HDMI In and Out, so you can record with HDMI while playing on a HDTV If 720p is sufficient, there is also the USB Blackmagic which accepts component.

QUOTE(SSJBen @ Sep 5 2009, 04:34 PM) Yea, Gamersyde and Gametrailers both use Intensity to record their vids. Although GT always downscale their videos quality however. The Lens of Truth uses an Intensity Pro to record comparison vids. They do downscale the videos a little bit, but the downscaling isn't as bad as GT.

QUOTE(SSJBen @ Sep 5 2009, 04:42 PM) I'm still saving up for the Multibridge though..... Last I saw MacAsia was selling it a sky-bombing RM6899! To be honest, I wanted to buy the Multibridge at first, mainly because it didn't need a PCI-e slot. However, the price was too much and I saw no need for that many Mic-in.

QUOTE(zerigemok @ Sep 5 2009, 09:00 PM) The tuner is different than hd pvr right? Or is it the same.. Coz last i check in UK hd pvr cost around 170 pound ~ rm950. But that's at online shops so i cant actually see it for myself first. What to do meh...Other external recorder you mentioned is multibridge but thats WAYYY over budget lol hehe... Multibridge is like the god of external recorders. End of the year, if I can save up, I sure buy it If you intend to record for YouTube, though, it is not advisable to record in HD. The file size is massive, so uploading with local connection will take you a lifetime.
