Hye guys, i'm planning to get myself a pair of SG...However there's one thing that might holding me back.....
What do u guys do if you have to leave your SG for long holiday/business trip for few days (maybe weeks) and nobody available to help u looking after them...

The thing is my jobs require me to travel once in a while for 1-2 weeks and sometimes can up to 3 weeks...
Can i just stuff all their foods in the mealbox which perhaps sufficient to feed them for few days sweat.gif

Appreciate any comment and response, i dont wanna make wrong decision by having them in the house and later not been able to fulfill their needs icon_rolleyes.gif

Hi, I don think you can leave wet fruits for so many days or weeks.

If it's only few days, i suggest you can get the premium glider diet. It is dry staple diet specially for sugar glider.
*
Yap, that's the thing...fresh fruits & veggies will rot even if i leave it for 1 days...not to mention it's gonna smell stink cry.gif
I luv to hear there's dry food available for glider...any link/pic on how does it look like?
is it OK if it being feed continuously to SG for few days... is it costly? sweat.gif

silverbolt where are you from? maybe when you need to go outstation you can pass to any members here to take care of you with charge or pass to your relatives/friends nearby?

but you have to know that glider is a sociable pet. and if you keep leaving them every subsequent weeks, it's hard for your bonding process and they might become timid and defensive over time.

I stayed in kepong, sg buloh area....pass to relatives/friends later have to teach them what to feed and don't know whether they'll be comfortable or not blush.gif ......pass to any thread member here would be the wise idea then thumbup.gif ...thanks...

you can go over petshack website and look for 'Premium Glider Diet'..

Er..i think the price is reasonable for me lo... As it's kinda convenient, and good in nutritional wise.

Yup, you can feed continuous for days.

I see, thanks Eric notworthy.gif ...Anyway i noticed u'r also in Hedgehog thread...To be frank, now i'm 50/50 whether to get SG as a pet....my other option is hedgehog, perhaps they are more suitable for a person like me who might off for business trip few days....currently i'm also have a ball phyton, no doubt this animal really suitable for me...

Hedgehog's maintenence are much lower than SG..

And they don feel lonely even you left him alone at home because they are solitairy.

However, if you going to leave them (SG/Hedgehog) for weeks, you hav to make sure there is fresh water available all the time. They will tend to drink alot when eating dry staple.

OK, thanks for the advice Eric notworthy.gif ...i think it's easier to leave Hedgehog with my relative/close friends since it less "troublesome" compared to SG...i guess i'll go for Hedgehog for the moments, so see u in the Hedgehog thread icon_rolleyes.gif

For other SG forumer, thanks a lot for the guide and input icon_rolleyes.gif ....now i can make firm and informed decision...perhaps later when i'm ready and the condition allow me to have SG, i'll join u guys notworthy.gif
