Hey, I found an awesome website teaching owners how to bond with their babies. I learnt a few things I never knew before... Like squishing your glider will actually calm it down etc. http://www.sugargliderinfo.org/reportFrame...ort-Bonding.phptkingt - A glider's about RM300-400... But I've seen people (in LYN) selling for as low as RM150.

OMG. I have finally taken the leap and posted a WTB thread in Pet Store. Now.... Time to start hunting for a cage and accessories to decorate the cage with. It's so exciting!! I'm sure many of you will think that I'm a bit mental after seeing my WTB thread... xD

QUOTE(loritanah @ Sep 2 2009, 04:23 PM) wait until u get to hold it in your hand... after bonding process, u are the only person he/she trust.. let say, when u open the cage door in the middle of the night and suddenly your sugar glider come and jump at your shoulder..priceless,boss... I think that THIS is one of the reasons why SGs are so precious. <3 I can't wait for Dec!

QUOTE(eric138 @ Sep 2 2009, 04:47 PM) velvet? I don think it's suitable for glider. Velvet doesnt absorb water.. and it's very hard to clean velvet fabric.. Fleece doesn't absorb water either.. :\ Owh, btw, would you mind if I use the article you compiled in my blog?

QUOTE(eric138 @ Sep 2 2009, 05:10 PM) Still, I would prefer flannel or fleece rather than velvet. Both are more soft and comfy than velvet, and extremely breathable. But fleece is bit thick, for bonding pouch prefer flannel material. Yup. Go ahead and use it. Thank you. I'll see what I can get my hands on. Btw, I was thinking of using my old clothes to make into tents, hammocks and sleeping pouches since they are so scent orientated. Does anyone recommend this?

QUOTE(eric138 @ Sep 2 2009, 05:19 PM) no... their nail will get stuck on those clothes.... How about my bed sheets? Since bed sheets are mostly made from flannel..? I'm really bad with fabrics. I don't see what's the difference between cotton and flannel, velvet and fleece or silk and satin. LOL.

QUOTE(eric138 @ Sep 2 2009, 06:09 PM) not all bed sheet made from flannel... I think most of the bed sheet made from cotton.... Flannel is bit too hot for those who stay in non-air cond room... Rawr. I hate fabrics. == It's so confusing! Added on September 2, 2009, 7:14 pmHi everyone, I recently came across this (http://www.sugarglider.com/gliderpedia/index.asp?Biting) and it's quite disturbing but does have it's own logic in a way... What do you think of it? This post has been edited by babyvey: Sep 2 2009, 07:14 PM

Hey guys.. Check this out: http://www.mynasga.org/sugarglider_dosugar...akegoodpets.htm But I think it is good reading for the more experienced glider owners. Such information may be misinterpreted if read by newbies. ><

QUOTE(eric138 @ Sep 8 2009, 05:31 PM) There are some info which are not applicable in our country.. Neither it's correct or wrong, but we as the owner nid to learn and study to determine which is the appropriate or better choice. Which is exactly why I said it's not suitable for newbies to read because they might get the wrong idea. :3

QUOTE(monkeydude5601 @ Sep 10 2009, 04:07 PM) Is it possible to travel overseas with your glider? If you were to get an albino glider from overseas and you want to pick it up to reduce the glider's stress, is it possible? More than likely, you will not be able to bring your pet with you on board... But they may allow you to transport your glider via cargo on the same flight. You just need the proper documents.

QUOTE(cottonkandy @ Sep 10 2009, 08:28 PM) if my memory serves me right, they require you to quarantine your glider for 3 months. correct me. I'm not sure about that.. I think it all depends on the customs of where you are exporting to. Better check with the vet dept.
