i gt a few questions. How many meal worms are given to the gliders a day? how much is the monthly cost to maintain these guys? Are the ready made salads like the ones you get at the supermarket ok to give to the gliders? Where can i get the essential glider's vitamin supplements? Is it true young sugar glider from about 8-12 weeks old need horizontal bar cages instead of vertical cause the vertical ones can harm them? And, lastly is it recommended to  squeeze a glider as i read an article saying that it reminds them of the pouch thus relaxing them?

If someone could answer any of these questions it would be much appreciated

i also thought it was cupping tat time when some1 said squeezing them would make them more relax.. he gave the web also.. and it said is squeezing nt cupping..

i also heard about the bars...i read tat it will disfigure the hands and legs if they use verticle bar..someone please clarify this...it makes sense in a way

tat's what i read it's not my opinion...just telling u guys what i read..everyone here also uses verticle bars so shouldnt be a problem

this post may seems a little bit unappropriated here. But after all the research i done, i realize that sugar glider require more care and love then i can offer. Thus now i decide to get a pair of guinea pig instead of sugar glider. This may seems like a betrayer, but i do have some question that i desperately need some answer.

Last time when i planning to get a sugar glider, pet shop like pets wonderland seems like an unappropriated place for buying pet. Wondering anyone have the experience of buying guinea pig from place like pets wonderland? or any other recommend pet shop?

Appreciate any of your help in advance. I realize this is a tread for sugar glider, but i can't help myself for posting my question here, becoz this is the mosty active tread in pet section i have seen. Hopefully i can get my answer here

I am consider very and indeed TERRIBLY new to SG. do you mind if i join your forum as a member?

I just got my 2 months old (according to the seller) SG 2 days ago. Lots to learn from and have been reading the SG BIBLE (hahaha) for the pass 2 days.

This forum really informative and i get lots of information through here like VETS and etc.

However, there are something that i would like to ask here, hope you guys and gals dont mind to provide some advice to this newcomer here.

1. my glider can take solid food from the day i got it. i have been giving them pear and red apple at this time. I read somewhere mention i need to blend the fruits and vegetable (is it any vegetable or a few particular, such as?) together with Honey, apple juice and warm water, then put it in the freeze. The question is:
a) Honey: any honey that is sold in the market
b) Apple juice: fresh like marigold or blend with actual fruit
c) what kind of protein that i need to mix with this?
d) do i still need to add vits since this already has fruit?
e) i also read somewhere mentioned about blending the food together with HAM (and particular)

2. i feel like i have been con to buy a small glass cage, really small, trust me. but its my fault for not checking out the info earlier before i buy it.

that's all for now, looking forward for some advice.

hehehe, may try to get the second SG later, pity her, so lonely in the cage.

dear all, may i ask should i clean the SG with water? my baby SG (less than 2 months oop) seems to be having ichy problem. should i out her in a small cup of water and lt her clean herself?

Does any1 know where, how and how much time is needed to get the documents for traveling with your sugar gliders? and does the glider get quarantined at the following country? If they do get quarantine, how long?

do know what happen to my SG, been hiding in her pouch for few days and very angry when ppl get near her. hhmmmm ... any clue guys, i guess she is almost 2 months oop by now.
