Yes, it's possible. Even a small disease can lead to death if the glider is untreated for long period. Either the illness becomes serious and fatal. Or the glider died of overly stress.

QUOTE(saramelia @ Sep 6 2009, 03:16 AM) Haha..if that is LC-Vit, then a bit too yellowish eh...The one Money drinking is pure apple juice...haha.. Added on September 6, 2009, 12:05 pm QUOTE(wotiyo @ Sep 6 2009, 11:44 AM) i see...but i wiping the SG... Hissing could be she feel irritate when u wipe her. A lot glider don like the owner to wipe their body.it come out wif hissing sound... wat does it mean? Added on September 6, 2009, 11:45 am i juz wash and sundried the wood only.... Added on September 6, 2009, 11:47 ami got another question...yesterday i fed my SG using kiwi... but seen like she dont like...dont even touch the fruit... and she juz eat apple ? Is that mean you only feed apple and kiwi last nite? Give and try more variety...explore your glider preference.. If you know she only like apple, and eating so much of apple doesnt really benefits them, stop giving apple first.. If not, end up she will jus pick the apple up and ignore other fruits. I think the same question has been asked again and again. You can only clean ur glider with water when the glider stained by paint/chemical ONLY..
Don simply bath your glider jus because you feel he/she is dirty or smelly. Is normal for them to scratch and lick when grooming as what sara said. However, it isn't normal when the glider groom themselves excessively. If you realize he/she groom too frequent, and accompany with hair dropping, then you should go for a vet check. It could be mites or other implication. |

I do not know whether anyone of us watch today Buletin Utama @ TV3. A case happened where a Sugar Glider owner got molested by a vet when she brought the glider for consultation.
Identity of the vet remain hidden, and the information delivered in the news report stated that the vet is 52years old, indian guy, located at Taman Melawati. I will temporary removed Dr Vellayan name from the recommended vet list in the front page. I will follow up on this case and see what should do next. RIP for the owner's glider. He/she died at the end. |

QUOTE(babyvey @ Sep 8 2009, 05:15 PM) Hey guys.. Check this out: http://www.mynasga.org/sugarglider_dosugar...akegoodpets.htm But I think it is good reading for the more experienced glider owners. Such information may be misinterpreted if read by newbies. >< There are some info which are not applicable in our country.. Neither it's correct or wrong, but we as the owner nid to learn and study to determine which is the appropriate or better choice. |

Yes it is possible. Sugar glider has 2 vagina and two separated uterus. Therefore, most of the time people will get 2 joey at one batch, and max 4 in a batch.
It's possible where the first baby in 1st uterus came out first...and the other one still kept inside. Until the first one is OOP and stable, then the second one will release. It's also possible where the intact male glider mate with the female again. |

QUOTE(jolenelarhhs @ Sep 8 2009, 09:40 PM) Hmm.. It's all up to you. There are a lot controversy issue in glider diet.from the web.. they say ~ Complicated diet : REALITY: This is just one example of the extremely outdated – and often dangerous – care information routinely posted on unlicensed internet chatrooms and websites. While it was true TEN YEARS AGO that Sugar Gliders required a diet consisting of special mixtures of insects and other “live” foods and .. REALITY: This myth directly relates back to the earlier misinformation that you somehow HAVE to feed your Gliders “live” foods; like worms, crickets, grasshoppers - and even baby mice - in order for them to be healthy. means dunid to feed insects? o.0 or ..? If the staple diet you gave contains sufficient protein, then you don ahv to give extra insects for protein source. BUT, you can give 1 or 2 as treats, or jus to fulfill their insect hunting instinct. QUOTE(lilmissmuppet @ Sep 8 2009, 09:45 PM) owh.. so can there be 2 babies in each uterus? Yes. That is why max would be 4 in a batch. But rarely this would happen. It's very hard for the mother to provide nutrition for 4babies at one time.Added on September 8, 2009, 9:49 pmn can i separate the my male and female? because im afraid the my mia will get stress.. but the one month oop babies need both parents rite? Do not separate...Father helps in taking care of kids. |

It's ok if you don feed insects when you r on HPW diet. But if you wan to provide a more balanced diet and fulfil their nutritional needs on complete insect, you can supplement with Bugsy Small Carnivore Food..
