ESPGL - The future of the gaming community of Malaysia?

I was amazed by the support shown by ESPGL during the MMU Convofest 2009. Frag movies, banners, brochures, everything was well done. I'm just wondering though, why is ESPGL focusing only on COD4? In my opinion, the ESPGL has a huge potential in expanding to other games too since ESPGL stands for Electronic Sports Professional Gamer's League(for those who don't know). For example(may not be accurate), looking at cs and fifa, there's nothing much going on now and most potential gamers seem to overlook it but the ESPGL has opened my mind to the COD4 competitive scene(i didn't know much about it last time).

What are your opinions about this?

Maaaaaaaaaaybe not for now but possibly in the future i guess since the whole world is currently going through an economic crisis. But i'd like to hear your opinions. Anyone ???

Well someone asked me to post this idea on forums, so i thought it was a good idea since it might generate interesting responses haha

Well for your first question, he asked for opinions and you supplied him utter and complete nonsense.

As for the latter, I think we just have to refer to CyberFusion '09 to answer that question.


To TS:

I do believe that the ESPGL has huge potential for growth and already with the hard work they have put in, have setup a massive influence in the S.E.A. eSports community [at least for CoD4]. I guess they are focusing on CoD4 as that is the scene that they are most familiar with and have the most support from [they also help organize/run tournaments for CoD4]. In the future, I do see the ESPGL branching out to other games.

Always a pleasure mate. Why didn't you come forward and introduce yourself ;D!

It's a pleasure to see others posting up about ESPGL A personal thank you to dennis.

As mentioned on whether ESPGL will be branching out to other e-sports games, I'd say that we won't be closing our doors to the other games but as for now, our main focus is on the CoD4 community.

Today, ESPGL.com has been around for a month and 6 days. The reason you see the .com, banners, brochures, trailers, workshops and the super long list we have done in 1 month is that we strongly believe in being pro active and efficient, to ensure the community need not compete for something that nobody cares or would like to find out about.

Clans like ESP, SWL, FFF and many others has been around for a year plus now and no one gave them the proper platform to publicize their clan's strength and hard work. It would be the case for the other gaming communities as well but as mentioned by DA (thanks for that ) we grew with the community since the beginning and decided to start off with CoD4 community first.

As we're going into the 2nd month of ESPGL.com, continue to support us in any ways possible and tune in for more updates on the community!

seem this seem to be very positive thing happening in our local comunity, let me know if i can contribute anything..
for starter those who are interested in building their own gaming machine + overclocking it feel free to ask me, and those who stay near my area if you want can drop by my place with your hardware and let me build it up for you guys with special extra touch of oc to maximize your machine.
