Looking for a RGB to HDMI cable/connector.... can't seem to find one. There are DVI to HDMI, RGB to Component, and DVI to RGB, but none for RGB to HDMI.
Anyone has come across this? Where to buy? How much?
bro, they are only interchangable only in that domain.. DVI to HDMI converter (digital to digital)Anyone has come across this? Where to buy? How much?
RGB to component (analog to analog)
DVI to RGB (only if you have certain type of analog DVI signal,) there is DVI-I DVI-D, DVI-A DVI dual link
if you want to try, why dun buy a HDMI to DVI dongle then plug into a DVI to RGB dongle..see if you get HDMI to RGB as the end result ..
you need a video transcoder/scan converter.. costs like 300-1000 I think..
then you also have to consider HDMI with HDCP...

maybe something like this..

there is this compact dongle (its has electronics inside so not passive dongle)
99GBP..

HDFURY is available in 3 versions, which are basically the same unit, but they are supplied with a different connecting cable.
The Blue Edition is the most common and standard for HDTV, LCD, CRT, PC screen, any display with a SUB-D HD15 FEMALE input.
- BLUE : Standard Edition (RGB/VGA display with SUB-D HD15 FEMALE input)
HDfury & VGA > VGA Xtender (10-15cm) [SUB-D HD15 FEMALE/MALE]

HDfury is a revolutionnary product that allows you to use in full resolution (1080p) any HDMI/DVI device on PC monitor, video projector or older HDTV/Plasma that are without a HDMI entry!
If you own a high quality monitor/projector/tv that does not have a HDMI connector you need this device, it will save you from buying a new expensive screen to enjoy 1080p resolution when your screen can already support it!
HDfury module will transform any "technically able" ANALOG display into a DIGITAL display performing a perfect visual HD&Full HD fury @ 720p/1080p from any HDMI/HDCP sources such as PS3, X360 Elite, HD-DVD&Blu-Ray player, SAT&Cable HDTV setbox, HDMI graphic card, and more.
Since firmware 1.80 Playstation3 allow DVD upscalling to 720p/1080p ONLY
through HDMI ! (as well as PS1 and PS2 games)
As many Barco owners already have a source connected to their 5x BNC input, we made a special BARCO edition with a DB9p cable that you can hook up on Port3 of your Barco proj.
However the Green edition is also suitable for Barco (on port 5) and any others display with 5x BNC input (for ex: some high end PC monitor have 5x BNC input)
The backside of the packaging will represent the different "hooking" way and will be printed accordingly to their color code : RED for Barco, GREEN for Marquee/NEC and BLUE for the standard edition.
Easy to remember : R/G/B
