i have something to ask regarding IPO in Malaysia. Is the IPO distributed through first come first served ? Or there is selection from International Trade and Industry Ministry or any agency?.

I believe they draw lots.

Yes, if not mistaken, it is random selected by computerised system (sorry I don't know about current situation, last time you sent through mail and all application mails are packed into boxes by boxes, then each boxes draw a few mail out) not first come first served.

May be now has changed or not, I don't know, don't follow IPO issue already years time.

If the 'change' meaning higher probability of successful application, then generally yes. Applying more number of shares generally increase the chance. See this recent example:



So by applying 1 million shares, your chance is 100%. But you only got 8600 shares for your 1 million application. The rest of the money will be refund. Compare to if you apply 100 shares your chances is 22.73%, but you get 100 shares.

It doesn't matter how early you apply.
