Thanks for the great info of HK diecast store. So u use to purchase models from HK via online, u get it from ModelCarExpo ? is it a good seller ? And the shipping carton packed in v good condition to protect the models from damage ?

LH_430Scuderia: Well, in all my purchases, I've only looked towards HK online shops twice or three times. That's only when I want to buy new stuff. That also through ebay as I'll wait for it to be below retail price which is sometimes difficult for new items. For ModelCarExpo, I think myke is a veteran. I have not purchased anything from them yet.

This is what greeted me last night at home... Came from Canada.

Then this morning, got another package from Parcelforce UK in the office.





A note about Parcelforce packages. They cannot be tracked from Post Malaysia. You need to go to their own website in order to get the tracking info. But the tracking was good and detailed. Kastam opened up the box to check. I presumed they did that because they saw the BMW / Mini logo sticker on the outside box. Some more did not close the Mini box properly.

Anyway, the way things have turned out, I'm really sore about the situation that I now most likely would end up with 2 units of the SL65 AMG Black Series. Thinking about the whole incident makes me sick to my stomach. What turned out to be a genuine offer to help purchase the model out of my own pocket since I was also getting one has taken a 180 degree turnaround and backfired on me. I never expected to be taken advantaged off moreover from a person I felt was truly wanting the model based on his login nick.

Now that I got this off my chest, I'd like to move on and enjoy my diecast and not be too disturbed about the whole incident. Lest somebody makes a comment to remind me "Hey, why do you have two SL65 AMG Black Series in the same black colour?" on my coming haul...

So if anybody would like to own a 1/18 SL65 AMG Black Series Dealer Edition and buy it off me, sent me a message. It's not here yet but I would be very grateful if you would state your interest to purchase.

Well, talking abt lansi! I saw you more lansi in Tomica & HW thread... If not mistaken you challenge somebody of posting sales items over at Tomica recently... how abt that? Wei! if you claim that we here collecting lousy diecast... think again.. do you any good diecast to show here??? I don't want to argue with kid who don't know how to appreciate adult diecast. Well, I thought you trying to advice other forumers to compare price with ebay? well, you are just too naive.... do you ever buy from ebay? do you have any credit card? Do you know how credit provider handle exchange rate?

that is the first realistic 1:64 ive ever seen,
remember a lot of details will be lost as the size gets smaller and the detail on that car is great for its size,
even the lights are painted

remember that not everyone has the space for even 1:43 collection

Cool down guys! Unless everyone agrees to a standard model size to share, I suppose it is open to all sizes. I don't agree that price matters but I do agree that this is a very expensive hobby (& addictive also). Anyway, do take a cue from this guy :-

P.S. Remember this is not a war zone! I am a 1:43 fan 'cause of space constraints & this size is almost limitless. Besides I always feel that the biggies look a bit like those paper ones they burn for the afterlife. Mind you, 1:43 are not cheap. Please bear in mind the most expensive die cast ever auctioned off is not a detailed model but a die cast toy ('cause it is so rare)

So if you want to enjoy your hobby as well as turning it into an investment, size does not matter.
