For you guys buying online, you don't really get to be picky don't you, I mean if it's high end brand like AA & Kyosho they should be good, but Maisto, Hot Wheels & Burago, I would prefer to check them inside out 1st.

REALCollector: Can I guess that Le Mans winner? From Spark? biggrin.gif I may have just received that in 1/18 scale. I'll try and post some pics. The Prodrive version is coming too. drool.gif
Tai Ko! you really know what in my mind... well I got this model frm US initially but... that was 2006 loser...

British car...
British sponsor...
British driver...

It makes thing more meaningful if the model ship from UK (like buying the real Aston Martin)...

advocado: Yes, you are right that it's a risk. I usually buy more expensive and higher quality stuff online and usually don't buy Maisto's or BBuragos. Of course unless they are dirt cheap. But then, I was desperate when I saw a McLaren F1 that I cannot buy (even cheaply) locally. I don't think you can find Guiloy brand here in KL. Anyway, for the price I won plus shipping, it worked out quite ok.

REALCollector: Hmmm... Ok, now that you showed me the wrong model you got from US, I'm guessing that you wanted to buy the 2007 Aston LeMans winner? biggrin.gif Or is the one you got from UK the 2008 Le Mans winner? Because if I'm wrong, the guy from US must be really colour blind to not being able to differentiate between 2007 and 2008 winner when you ask for the 2008 winner. laugh.gif

Anyway, if I were you, I would have kept the model and ask for some compensation. Sending the model back at our own cost, you loose both ways.

ccpchris: What car are you gonna post? drool.gif

Just got this small package from Greece today.

It's the winner car #142 for the 24hr Spa 2004 G2 Class.

user posted image

he! he! he! Now can anybody guess what car the #009 DBR9 is chasing? What's that #8 car?

Wonder where other tai ko been? long time no updates from them....

REALCollector: Me now planning to collect the 1/18 versions of the #42 and #142 from Autoart.

Tai kor, what do you mean I'm going to join the 009 bandwagon soon? I've already joined ! biggrin.gif

Will soon join Baronzemo's Prodrive version. smile.gif

Anyway, so it's confirmed that the US seller is colour blind indeed seeing that you bought the 2008 009. How can he mistake the 009 from 2006 and 009 from 2008? Both different colours.

Hmmm, what's the 008 car? Lemme guess... This one?

No hard feeling ok! what I mean "bandwagon" here is those who already post their AMR 2008 #009 in this thread... that's all... Wow! you bought 2 DBR9... one of them is prodrive version... that's awesome! sweat.gif

I would have guess you know the #8 by follow the DBR9 photo link to my photobucket a/c... very clever! Indeed I've posted them in sgdc & diecastxchange... maybe next time I'll post them concurrently, to avoid information leakage doh.gif ...

Now I'm only concentrating picking up Spark, Minichamps & limited number of Ebbro models... will completely halt buying other brands - no space man. Got to think for long term man - furthermore, Spark models are built with quality in mind!

ok! AMR fever is here...

Car was built and developed by British Car maker - Aston Martin Racing
British Sponsor - Gulf Oil
The only British Driver in the AMR team- Darren Turner

To be honest... I'm paying RM270 for the word "D. Turner"... If Darren Turner was driving the #007 car... I would have bought that model too...

REALCollector: If you're a real Darren Turner kaki, you should get this Ferrari 360-NGT from FIA GT 2003. smile.gif <racun racun>

I know what you mean about being picky. I'm finding space problems myself. But yes, the Spark version is the only faithful one that depicts the correct race livery. I may have to get myself one and perhaps use Photoshop to create one for the 1/18 scale. sad.gif
